Just wanted to add myself to the list of UK traders lurking this board. Based SW Herts.
Yes, Steve I am still around!!!
My background has mostly been futures on both side of the pond. But last month I attended a professional stock trading seminar by Echotrade in Las Vegas. I also went back...
SE,
I am finding this difficult to replicate in my software. What stochastics are you using here?
FastD, FastK, SlowK, SlowD? and in what combination?
Many thanks
In your Cienna chart how exactly are you calculating Stochastics?
The closest I could get was StochK 15 and StochD 5 (with a 3 smoothing length). This still isn't right, though
Many thanks

I have just been touring SE Asia and came back from HK a few weeks ago.
Cor! The price you guys pay for a beer ranks up there with Sweden (let alone property prices!) - I hope the low income tax makes up for it!
The US navy were in town when I was there. There were chalk signs...
I am really only referring to stuff that you use in a level playing field market. TA and so forth.
You guys have the edge in leverage and tools such as bullets.
However I have absolutely no idea how a Brit like me would either get to trade this way here or persuade the INS that trading pro...
Yes I like that a lot :D :D :D
Perhaps I will.
"How to achieve truly mediocre returns".
or even "Valueless speculation".

"see, now we are getting somewhere.. i used to be a salesman as well.. i worked as a hired gun for two of the larger auto repair franchisors.. to be good in that game you have to be disciplined, focused and determined.. i also developed thick skin as i literally had people screaming obscenities...
I am sorry but your quotations are becoming a little irritating.
Question 101: Have you, or anyone on this board for that matter, EVER earned CONSISTENTLY $40,000 - $70,000 per week.
I have. But not in trading. It is a mug's game. And I am going to go back to proper business. The real...
Someone that sticks it out for 5 years is not afraid of tears.
This is the kinda guy I am: For 5 years I sold door to door home improvements when I was a teenager. Every other door was a f**k off and occasional guy chasing me down the road with a machete. Hey I was making money. If I got...
I like your fly metaphor.
I would be grateful if you could email me the next time you spot an inordinately large and pungent pile of dung!
In the meantime I think I will go and buy a restaurant or something with my trading capital (well the majority of it anyway - just in case that...
Guys, putting your spiritual theories to one side for now (I have never run a successful business in my life based on anything but calculated execution... execution...execution!).
Rather than trade today I decided to do something I wish I had done a long time ago.
Enclosed is an excel 2000...
The problem is a regulatory one. Apparently to be a pro trader in the US and based here, you also need to be registered with the FSA here. It is not as simple as passing a Series 7, so I am told. You know what our government is like!
I entered a gold futures order just before the planes hit on 9/11. I did not know for a week and a half what my position was!!! Apparently firemen were wading through tickets left on the exchange floor. Managed to make a small profit in the end, luckily. But if I had a weak heart, I would...

Nothing is no risk. We had to take 3 major corporations through expensive and lengthy litigation proceedings to get most of our money. But we had an edge and we were in the energy sales business at...
I understand old percy-verance. And the school of hard knocks. But how long should you stay doing the same thing if it is not the opportunity it is cracked up to be? This will be my 5th year. That is just a waste of life!
