    I have just noticed that electronic CBOT's gold contracts's volume is about 11% of total gold (COMEX + CBOT) contracts traded. Actually - according to John Lothian's newsletter - 5% of all soybeans contracts are already traded electronically.

    You got it: it interferes in everiday's life. Guess who sells water to those poor fellows whose houses haven't tap water? Guess why in Italy/Europe year 2005 people might not have tap water in their homes? Just an example.
