    What is Web3?

I still don’t understand why you got so belligerent when I questioned some of the stuff with crypto. If you came to the options forum and made that statement I wouldn’t threaten to slap you. If Bitcoin is so obviously cheap, you should be able to clearly and maturely explain why. But you can’t…..

    What is Web3?

your rants are all over the place. You talk about the dollar and inflation. (oh no, inflation is up 7percent is proof the current system doesn’t work; but a 50percent decline in bitcoin is normal) You talk about disrupting the financial system. (But I can’t buy anything with Bitcoin) A...

    What is Web3?

I don’t like my currencies to drop 50percent. You talk about purchasing power and inflation. How does it feel that everything is twice as expensive for you than for me since the beginning of this year? You brought up the example of the dollar and inflation. Are you still sticking with that...

no. Profitable except for the Bitcoin part which he can’t mark to market but pays taxes on the mark to market. he should stay in his lane and run his 80percent gross margin business.

    How To Manipulate Any Crypto

I’m seeing that too. The dialog from these dunning Kruger’s is way different from the other people I speak with. When you speak with those you get a bullish but balanced picture of how it can play out. some of these bought 20 Bitcoin at 1500 and think they understand the whole ecosystem...

Enjoy watching your Bitcoin/usd drop by 50percent even as everything else doubled in price. You are some dunning Kruger fanboy whose drunk too much koolaid. I’ve been in this game longer than most. I’ve seen your type before and I know how it will end for you.

    Michael Saylor speaks...

I looked at the financials published on bloomberg: for the last 10 quarters, revenues are about 100MM but operating income has been between zero (last quarter) and 25MM (in q4 2020). It's never been negative. This is income from continuing operations. In the last 15 years they've only had 1...

    What is Web3?

Obviously there have been scams in equities. And 100-200 years ago the scams were a lot worse. Yes There are still scams. defi has to figure out how to handle these issues without the benefit of a central government with the power to shut down things like boiler rooms, accounting fraud, flat...

    What is Web3?

You want to compare the volatility of Bitcoin vs the USD as an argument? Forget about other currencies - some of which were made as a joke. this is your argument that the current system doesn’t work well? Interest rates going from zero to 2! ok buddy, best of luck with that.

Why would anyone buy a structured note?

Europe is different I think. In the US it’s only issued to private clients. I was trading a lot of boosters. Basically 1x2 cost less callspreads with stock. The notes would have a downside buffer - which I couldn’t replicate myself. Basically for 5 years I was earning the SPX with 1/2 the...

When bitcoin falls below $21,000 this billionaire will face a huge margin call

i don’t understand why shareholders haven’t revolted. Microstrategy’s business isn’t Bitcoin. This is what’s wrong with non-independent boards and passive shareholders.

Why would anyone buy a structured note?

On a risk neutral basis no. But in the world of risk neutrality and portfolio replication you can’t earn more than the risk free rate anyway. while markets were rallying a lot of rich people made a lot of money in autocallables. But they lost a lot when the market crashed in 2008. I personally...

Why would anyone buy a structured note?

Firstly since notes went open platform, the edge loss is tiny (like sub 1percent). You can’t structure those payouts yourself. So if you want the payout you have to trade the note. Often you won’t even notice the edge loss because it will be embedded in the cost of carry (JPM carries at fed...

Mt gox The crocodile of Wall Street The crypto that was based on the Korean Tv show rug pulls (fast and slow) NFT’s if you talk to a proper crypto trader, they love it because it’s like trading in Somalia.

Why would anyone buy a structured note?

the expected value is negative but you can’t structure the risk profile yourself. The bank will take the note break up the risks and hedge them out. The holder of the note won’t do that and will get a payout profile they want.

    What is Web3?

My point is that there are a lot of things the revolutionaries of DeFi haven’t figured out yet and may not. So it’s possible no one of relevance has figured out the Issues Dawn brought up. The current financial system works pretty well. Defi might make it work better but it’s still dealing...
