Why have I never seen any offer of money manager here?

You cannot "hold yourself out to the public" as a money manager unless you are registered with the revenooers. (Friends and family, limited amount of assets under management exempted.)

Bubble ben bernanke says the fed should use negative rates in next crisis!!!

Have to wonder how the Fed envisions this period in financial history ends... ?? Powell tried to restore some sense of sanity with paring down the Fed's balance sheet some and raising rates, but the market and Trump threw a hissy fit. So... if we're never going to "take our medicine"... is it...

Ok AMZN, you've touched $1900 three times in the last 2 weeks...

I recall years ago seeing some index (one of the Value Lines, I think) break resistance after 23 tries on the daily chart. Talk about "resistance". Sheesh.

What if you won the lottery?

She blew waaayyy past that $100 long ago. (That $100 was like giving a junkie a "taste" of heroin.) A guy I used to play tennis with years ago hit 5 of 6 in the state lotto... I'd call that "close".

What if you won the lottery?

Wifey once hit 3-numbers for $100. She's been a "lotto junkie" ever since. Sad. :(

Okay how could 1 improve 1s luck ??

When your trading bias is in tune with the market's, it's easy to win. Major objective for all of us traders all of the time.

Okay how could 1 improve 1s luck ??

LOL! I once heard trading described as, "A conveyor belt passing before your eyes... with alternating stacks of money and razor blades... and somehow you can't seem to avoid the razor blades and grab the money". Have you tried the "Costanza method"? That is, whatever you think you should...

    Donald

LOL! The Dems will put up the candidate they think/hope can win... regardless of the stink on him/her. Flaccid. :)

Why does a stock price that rallies throughout the day and through the night open lower

Financial markets trade 24hrs during week days. The US market is open only ~7hrs of that. Anything that happens or is said by an influential somebody can mover the markets while the US is closed.... thus, gaps on US opening. Stops may be advised for leveraged overnight positions. They won't...

Where is the money coming from?

Market uptrended for 100 years on GROWTH! Now, Fed pumping has added to the "fuel" to juice markets higher (for greedy political purposes). All at the expense of inflation and $$USD currency debasement. Not a good thing. :(

Where is the money coming from?

Buffet is known to be a "value" investor... wants to buy things he believes are worth more than the marketplace is pricing them. Have heard recently that he "can't find value-enough" to put his cash capital to work in equities, so waiting patiently on the sidelines. Sometimes you can get away...

Where is the money coming from?

Hard to tell. If sideline cash is from financial transactions, it just moves back and forth. If money is earned/transferred from elsewhere and then earmarked for the financial markets for later deployment, it could be increasing. In any event, not a metric you'd be likely able to measure.

Where is the money coming from?

Yeah, well like I said. "Sideline cash" does not leave the market. It's more or less constant, just changes hands.
  15. Scataphagos

Where is the money coming from?

Yes. Money would leave the marketplace by being burned/destroyed in some other sense... or like moving into cryptos... any place away from the stock & bond markets. As for inflation... money isn't destroyed per se... its buying power is. As for "balancing things"... absolutely does NOT do...

Where is the money coming from?

Of course, but it's leaving the marketplace.... no longer considered "sideline (financial market) cash".
  17. Scataphagos

Where is the money coming from?

Market may be going much higher, but it won't be because of "sideline cash".... will be because of the Fed money pumping.
  18. Scataphagos

Where is the money coming from?

Little of that is in trading accounts... chomping at the bit for the right opportunity to buy. And even it it were, it would simply be transferred to another player. IOW... "sideline cash" never goes away... just changes hands.

Where is the money coming from?

Assuming you're still talking about "sideline" cash.... they sold their stocks to acquire cash. But that cash was transferred to the sellers of that stock. The cash is still in play but with a different player.
