How do you backup your system?

Mike: I use Drive Image with an external hard drive (usb). When the primary drive goes down (never has), you can insert a hew hard drive, boot through a drive image cd when "walks" you through restoring the image from the USB drive to the new hard drive. The life of hard drives is about 50...

what external backup solution for notebook?

You might consider using an external 2 1/2 inch hard drive as a backup since there is no power supply needed when used through the USB port. Drive Image 7 will both copy or image the hard drive.

How do you backup your system?

DVD's are exposed to the human element (scratched, etc). Hard drives are really much more reliable. I have used Drive Image for 4 years without a problem.

The processor is also 50% greater. If this doesn't work, the 939 board allows dual core processors, but they are alot more.

Riskarb: On the trade on the 19th, the cost was a credit of 1.7 x 50 or $8.500 total. If the market continued down, when would you have gotten out or just hold on for a later reversal. This was a one way bet and both sides would have been going in the red. Also, I saw the option page on...

No, the $1.70 credit and the 5.50 debit are combo-values, not fills on the individual options. Check the time and sales for the approx fills. I fill through an API and a lmt-expo spreadsheet which quotes spread/combo matrices. I believe the put was 16.00 vs 14.30 call on the opening trade... but...

Riskarb: Since you don't follow M/A or graphs, what indicators are you using to forecast an upturning bounce? Intuitively and graphically, I would agree the sell off is overdone. However, you likely are using specific mathmatical indicators.

I don't think it would be difficult to program in Tradestation Easy Language. However, with all the nuances of the market, visual methods can be developed also.

Riskarb: Interesting "foreign" world for me. What is your formal education and work background where you absorbed all these strategies? Are you self-employed? Fasinating high finance to a plain futures trader. I'm sure the majority have a million questions.
