I have 3.0.1, no volume with the feed. I sent an email to QT to try and figure it out.

I've noticed that IB's feed does not include volume in QuoteTracker. Any idea why this is? Scottrade has volume per trade included in the feed.

Does anyone have experience with execution times of Market vs. Limit orders?

I would add that if trading small price shares and large share quantities, IB might not be the cheapest. I'm maintaining a separate brokerage account that has a flat commish regardless of share amounts for this type of trading.

My experience with previous brokers is that limit orders get much faster execution than market orders. I don't know if this is the case with IB or not since I just opened the account and have not traded yet.

I looked through the IB TWS materials, and can't seem to find a real time chart feature. Did I miss something, or is the package lacking this? I think I can feed QuoteTracker with IB's streaming, but it seems strange that there is no native charting in IB. :confused:

From what I gather here, LIMITS are safe and can aid speed in a liquid stock. Thin stocks and you just might get stuck with a limit buy or sell which is outside of current bid/ask. I still wonder if a STOP used the same way would have the same execution speed. I'm guessing that it may not...
