Different strategies or patterns for different times of day?

When you started trading, did you simply invent your own strategies from scratch without having any guidance, advice or indication of what other successful traders were doing? Or did you research some reputable strategies and give them a try to see if they worked? Of course you did the latter...

Different strategies or patterns for different times of day?

I've only been paper trading for a couple months so I can't speak to the reliability of the strategies I mentioned. I do know traders who use them and they make consistent profits with them, so I wouldn't agree with your first statement. You guys are seriously overcomplicating a very simple post.

Different strategies or patterns for different times of day?

As I've explained, those are not strategies. It's simply a foundational concept. The strategy is how it is executed. For example, you mentioned reversals. The strategy would entail the market and stock conditions necessary to enter the trade, including entry and exit signals. Or you could simply...

Different strategies or patterns for different times of day?

Not sure why the idea of sharing strategies and favorite patterns is taboo for you. It's a common practice amongst traders. Just look through this forum and you'll see it happening all the time. Let me give you an example to show you how easy it is. At the open i trade the dip and rip strategy...

Different strategies or patterns for different times of day?

Clearly "buy low sell high" is not what we're talking about when we speak of strategy. The strategy is how you do it. Conditions, setups, patterns, signals, etc.

Different strategies or patterns for different times of day?

Please share the strategies or patterns that you trade for different market times. What strategies/patterns do you trade at the open? In the early morning? Lunch time? At the end of the day? What is it about the market activity/behavior at those times that led you to choose those...

Vince's Trading Journal - Advice Needed!

I took a couple weeks off paper trading to do some intensive studying. I felt it was necessary. I've organized the trading strategies by trader. I've added links to the youtube channels of each trader whose strategies are featured and the name of the video that the strategy is taken from is written at the top of each strategy page, so you can go to the youtube channel and find the video if...

    Day Trading Strategies Onenote Document

I've added a new section called "Trading Notes" for important concepts that apply to trading strategies but don't actually compose one particular strategy. For example, pivots, support/resistance levels, multiple time frames, the most important aspects of trade setups, etc. Good stuff!

He has multiple scalping videos. I've seen two of them. One is short and just has one example of a super overextended (to the downside) trade, essentially a gap fade play at the open. The concept is that the price can only get a certain distance from its 200 moving average before it is drawn...

In the videos I've seen he teaches to enter in the direction of the trend unless the price is way overextended or underextended. The focus is with the trend. Please link the video you watched. I find it hard to believe he said to only enter trades in the opposite direction of the trend.

I added some awesome strategies tonight from Oliver Velez. It was my first time checking out his youtube channel and he seems to be a good teacher. Plus his strategies are simple and appear to be effective. Check out the 20 MA Uptrend/Downtrend, Engulfing Bull/Bear 180 Candle and Small Candle...
