What arrangement makes sense for printing Forex order info?

What's the difference between LMAX and Matchbook FX? There are already plenty of ECNs out there for the professional Buy side (see EBS, RFX, etc...).

Creating logic in Python for auto-generating a tuple of futures spreads to query

I have done something similar except that I generate a list of 3, 6, 9 and 12 months spreads and 3, 6 and 12 months butterflies (you can go further but I don't need too as I don't trade them). This way you get a list of all the traded spread and won't have any weird combinations (like a 13...

List of CME Exchange Traded Spreads?

Hi, I would say that you can definitely learn how to trade the eurodollar with a $10K retail account. You need to be quite patient and not expect high returns as these products don't move very much. You need to trade big sizes which incurs high commissions, or lease a seat as Bob said but you...

    Crude oil Dom

Possibly due to the MBO update that the CME is slowly introducing, see: http://www.cmegroup.com/confluence/display/EPICSANDBOX/Market+by+Order

Been asked to move to another FCM

Bob, I have told you over email that this wasnt related... My move was prior to DDT switching over to IronBeam. I'm happy to forward you the email from the risk manager if you want to investigate this further.

AMP News: NEW TT Platform | AMP's Low DayTrade Margins now Available!!!

Trade the exchange spread. This seems to be new to AMP as this wasn't the case before (hence why I closed my account). Is this only with the TT platform though?

AMP News: NEW TT Platform | AMP's Low DayTrade Margins now Available!!!

What about for new orders? Are you using the SPAN margins or each leg is margined separately?

Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

Thanks, I will give another try to the firetip basic. I might consider switching to DDT as this would be some big savings!

Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

I think that CTS T4 is the only platform doing this, I use them and I trade mainly spreads and flies (on Eurodollar) and can definitely confirm that one fly is 50 cents and not 2$. There are 2 fees, the commissions paid to the FCM and the routing paid to CTS, the 50 cents is only for the...

Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

I don't think that TWS is a viable option for the OP if he wants to cut costs. Commissions are at 85 cents per lot up to 1000 lots, so the platform is free but the commissions are high. You probably can get the commissions as low as 40 cents with Advantage or Dorman for 1000 lots, so that would...

Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

With CTS T4 250 flies cost $125 and not $500 (that is if you trade the exchange traded fly of course).

Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

I went through the math of finding the cheapest option as I also only nee a simple buy/sell button and no charting. I started with DDT and CQG Simple Trader at 10$/month and $0.10 per side but eventually switched to Cannon Trading and CTS T4. It might seem more expensive but I pay lower...

    Option/Futures SPAN margin calculations

I used CQG with Wedbush for a while but I found that they were really bad at estimating live margins and had several issues with this... The issue I had was when having positions on spreads and butterflies and trying to trade an outright, CQG would overestimate the margin on the outright and...

The new TT platform... when, where ??

Regarding the 0.30$ per side. What if we trade exchange traded spreads, do we pay 0.30$ or 0.60$ (same questions with butterflies, etc...)? The reason I am asking is because with CTS I pay 0.50$ per side if I trade an exchange traded spreads and not 1$. Thanks

Been asked to move to another FCM

Definitely sure that this was Wedbush. This came from their Chief Risk Officer. DDT has no power over the FCM, they just introduce new accounts and get a profit share of the commissions. That was also the risk guy that gave me 48h to close my positions.

Been asked to move to another FCM

Yes my account is now closed and all transferred to my new FCM. The FCM that gave me 48h to close my positions was Wedbush introduced by DDT.

Looking for a simple DDE client

What are you trading? I trade futures and recently switched to CTS as I also needed a simple DDE client too. InteractiveBrokers has DDE too (and does everything). I briefly tried Sierra for the Spreadsheet functionality but it is not as powerful as Excel.

    Anyone use Tradovate?

They also don't have all the futures available (I think their selection is quite limited) and they only support outrights for now.

Been asked to move to another FCM

Quick update, I've opened a new account and have now sent the transfer form. I have informed them and I still have my positions so I guess that's a good sign. Being on the edge of a margin call is not an issue. Even a margin call is not an issue, it is a regular practice nowadays as all the...
