    Trading from Japan

    >hopeful Hope you didn't get caught up in that Nova mess that I read about. There is no problem shorting Japanese stocks. Not all stocks are available for shorting, but most are. The only problem is if you want to do a number of trades each day, as your margin is not replenished...

    Trading from Japan

    >hopeful Sorry, was thinking that you wanted to trade Japanese shares etc. using a prop firm in the U.S. So I guess you are working here during the day and want to go without sleep trading U.S. markets? Have you considered Forex or trading on Eurex until midnight or so? Or maybe you're...

    Would someone please define this?

A non-native English speaker asked me the meaning of 'To beat the market'. I haven't spoken English or lived in an English speaking environment for so long now that I couldn't be sure of its meaning. Would it be, 1. To make money trading year after year. 2. To outperform a market...

    IB outage in HK

    >def Thank you for the detailed explanation. 'Most of us' can understand that these things can and do happen. However, I hope those at IB can understand our feelings when there is a problem, and knowing that you can't be monitoring all products on all markets, and we always wonder...

how many seconds does it take for the datafeed to get to your computer

Sure it does under normal conditions. If I ping mktgw1.ibllc.com from Japan, it takes 203ms. If I ping IB in HK it takes 62ms. Try HK from your location. mktgw1.ibllc.com.hk If I ping a local address it takes 6ms. Try a local address where you are. It should be just a few ms.

    Age roll call...

Hi kids, I'm 62. I've been trading for 35 years using TA and TA only. The never ending study that is possible with TA has kept my mind alert and young. You might think that I must be a real dunce to be still studying TA after 35 years. Maybe so. But those who, like me, 'eat this stuff...

HELP!! Is there a alternitive to No-Signal? (e-signal)

Guess I'll never know if they're as good as you say, as they did not answer an inquiry from a potential customer. With such inefficiency I doubt they will stay in business very long.
