The main reason why doing business with these get-funded programs is a bad idea...

Wow. Are you 100% sure about this? I think LeeLoo is upfront about the initial account being simulator only and I think OneUp / MES, too. But I think MES says you'll be trading a live account eventually. TopStep on the other hand seems to be clear about how you're actually trading a live...

Sharing this relevant piece of information that was posted in another thread: Is Funding Talent a SCAM ?! https://www.forexpeacearmy.com/community/threads/funding-talent-prop-firm-scam.70762/ Obviously, these companies will do what they can to make you fail if they have to pay out your...

Wow. What's the story behind his profits? Did he luck out or is he a good trader?

What's the significance of 4400? Thank you.

No more Live Trailing Drawdown on Earn2Trade?

It's because they don't mind you succeeding in the evaluation period, but they do not want you to succeed as a funded trader. These companies only care for your subscription fees.

    Midnight rally

True. However, I do think Rickshaw actually posted that he had a rather large loss during that period. How large? We'll never know unless he shares it. If you never compound or increase your stake a bull that's fat on profits can easily handle some drawdown and still be way ahead. However...

29 turning 30. 11 years of trading. First profiting year Journal 1

Large losses tends to compound. It seems to be an inevitable law. Some other trader in this thread also blew his entire account doing something similar. It's like you stop caring and just plug away. A part of you just want to blow it all so that the pain is over and you can justify to yourself...

29 turning 30. 11 years of trading. First profiting year Journal 1

I adviced you above what to do. It's really simple. Stop trading. Right now. You're on a losing streak. Trading is a mental game and you're now not in a good place to perform well. The only way to end a losing streak is to take a break and get the loss out of your system! You need to get back...

29 turning 30. 11 years of trading. First profiting year Journal 1

You absolutely need to take a few days off and get yourself back into neutral mode after these last two major losing days. If not, I'm afraid you will only compound your losses and mistakes as at this point you're probably focused on making back your losses and not on trading. And everyone...

Cash? You still believe it's real money? :) My account was liquidated at $7K. Prior to the trade I held overnight - my account was just below $4K. After messaging back and forth with their very rude customer service they told me they would wire me my share of the profits prior to the rule...

Got it. I don't think there are many who love this model after learning the facts about how these business operate. I had a rough idea myself and it became crystal clear after my own experience. Does such companies exist for a retail trader? I talked to the T3 Group. They seem to have an...

The main reason why doing business with these get-funded programs is a bad idea...

Why do you keep harping about that rule break? Surely I'm not doing so? It was just a follow-up observation. And where did I say I like this business model? Isn't it very clear that I don't? What I specifically said is that if I found another company which actually wants to fund a trader I...

Is Funding Talent a SCAM ?!

What would happen if just by chance some trader max out his margin and do a once-in-a-lifetime profitable trade?

The main reason why doing business with these get-funded programs is a bad idea...

LOL. Why continue risking your OWN capital for an 80/20 split? Some people are just slow to get it. You're always risking your own capital with these firms. If you withdraw your profits you're back to square one or even worse - your account is gone. The company is fine with you taking...

    How to deal with burnout?

Take time off or reduce your workload. No other substitute, IMO. You want to maximize your output - not your input. Earlier this year I stopped logging data, journaling and doing research on weekends and simply focused on trading Monday / Friday. That way I was still in the game while...

The main reason why doing business with these get-funded programs is a bad idea...

Yes. It's clear that my main point went over your head and that you do not understand. I never said that it's not possible to pass an evaluation (I passed myself). I never said these companies do not pay out money if you succeed. What I said is that they do not have any vested interest in...

The main reason why doing business with these get-funded programs is a bad idea...

Upon passing the evaluation OneUp will tell you that your account is under review by the 'risk management team' and that the results will be submitted to their funding partners (in plural). I'm pretty sure this is all smoke and mirrors in an attempt to sound professional as every funded (LOL)...

Is Funding Talent a SCAM ?!

Did you miss this thread? I'm convinced these firms do not have a real interest in funding a trader. Several of them are even set up in a way where you win - they lose.
