    ES Journal - 2021/2022

That was fun. The smart thing as a short term trader would probably be to trail this one tightly or exit here, but I'm locking in 12.50 points and risking the rest in case this actually breaks out.

Improved my entry @ 53.50. Same bias. Leaning long above yesterday's LOD assuming the Week Low is in and willing to take a few stabs here, but well aware we could drop far lower from here, so being cautious...

Even if the market bottomed out - it won't necessarily be a V-bottom. It can take some time. Scratched out of the prior trade for - 1,0. Still leaning long - but better if I can get in again around 40/50. :)

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

I do appreciate Rickshaw's posts, but even 'zero risk / free money $$$' traders lose once in a while. Worth keeping in mind. :)

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

In the event we'll see an Up Week - I think we put in the Week Low yesterday, but it's still possible we'll see a test of yesterday's Close (59.50) and lower on the Open. The economic number coming out in a few hours may shake things up, too. But it's worth a lotto ticket from here. Tightening...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Rickshaw blew up in March 2020.

59.25 locked in for + 7.5 x 2. Either a move lower here before higher or a new LOD. Have to be somewhere, so gotta go. The other scenario is we'll just range around at the lower part of the range... Good luck all.

I have the copy from 2016 at my desk. Should probably get the updated one. Do you use the online version? Also - do you find that the data in it is actually helpful? I like to look at statistical data, so it's right down my alley.

Added one. Gambling with house money here. Locking in some to secure the day.

Fast 8 point range here at the current LOD. Whippy. :)

Looking for a move to 4465/66 from here as long as this base holds. Reversal from there back down to the LOD or continuation higher for a new HOD by EOD around 4490/4500.

Buy limit @ 50. Wrong at 45. I have 35 as a potential target below, so aware of the dangers. If this week should be an Up Week - I don't think we should drop that much below 50.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Flat, but looking for a long around 4450. A quick 15 point drop below if 50 doesn't hold, IMO. September, remember. :)

Grabbed a lotto ticket on the Open. Probably going to get stopped out as I expect the lows to be tested, but you never know for sure... :) Also why I won't use a large stop.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

5 days down on ES in a row. That's not happened since last October and we continued substantially lower from there. The prior week opened gap down and continued lower for the remainder of the week closing on the week low on a Friday. The last 3 of 4 times this happened - the following week...

Hello, September and hello gravity. Came close to 4435 at the end of last week. An Outside Month is only about 80 points lower.

good to know information for new traders

Seems like the picture/quote I posted had a broken link. It's a favourite of mine, so I'll post it again. :) New traders should stay small for longer than they think or at least until they don't need to ask for advice. There's no substitute for experience.
