    What is NQ

Having focused only on ES for like forever, I've started trading NQ a few weeks ago and it does seem like a superior trading instrument for quick scalps. There are times when the ES is barely moving and NQ have a few great momentum moves meanwhile. Gross results this week trading 1-2 contracts...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Use buy stops and sell stops above/below market. That should solve your issues of being too late to enter. These orders should further trigger automated exit / trade management strategies which takes care of that part. Obvious, really. :)

Will we ever find out who Satoshi Nakamoto is?

At one point in this interview, he actually says, "When I created Bitcoin.." and then immediately corrects himself. If it was an actual slip or if he did mean to say Bit Gold is uncertain. The interview could have been very interesting, but sadly he was constantly interrupted. Still worth a...

Will we ever find out who Satoshi Nakamoto is?

And totally in the spirit of the philosophy backing Bitcoin.

Near 70 degree 18 month rise in NDX100

It looks better on a logarithmic chart, but still very steep.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Anticipating new highs here, but not a day to be greedy on this range bound day. I'd be happy with 96.50. Unless NQ reverses - I don't see ES rolling over today.

Apex Trader Funding Save 50% on any Trading Account

The trades never make it to the market, so no need to worry about that. It's all paper trading even after you're funded. Also, if you're considering this make sure to check out their pay-out rules. Basically, if you make a $10K profit after getting funded - it will take you as long as SIX...

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Today was a range bound consolidation day and a Monday. From the looks of it as of now - tomorrow could be another one.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Now look at that... I use 09:30 - 16:00 for my data as to my knowledge that's when the cash index closes. But I know some use 09:30 - 16:15, too. Might explain it.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Today closed + 1,25 points net on ES futures. The 8th of June was + 0,25 net. The 8th of May 2018 was 0,00 net. So, to answer your question: Yes. :) Not so common, though.

    Shorting the Crypto market

Easy now. :) I'm just a salty no-coiner who was extremely critical towards Bitcoin and so much so that I missed the boat when me and my friends started talking about it around 5 years ago. Only after learning a bit more about it and seeing that it's actually being taken seriously and have...

    Shorting the Crypto market

I'm in a bit of a hurry, so only a quick answer. What I meant is that we're already seeing rising prices in the world, i.e., inflation, and people are so far calm when maybe they shouldn't be. In response to your comment: "You haven't even begun to see the hostility that will result when...

    Makes sense. I chuckled.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

The predictive model is moderately to fairly bullish on the day with this pattern. Meaning odds favour at least a move back up towards 4690 and quite possibly a new HOD by the Close. A bigger sell from here today seems less likely.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Decision time for a major leg up/down: Looks like both ES/NQ can roll over if this 4680 level doesn't hold on the day. Gap below @ 4677, but lately they not been that great support on Mondays, so don't count on it.

Sometimes I wonder why I even day trade...

What you describe here is swing trading. Day trading = positions are opened/closed within the same day/session. And for day trading I differentiate between intraday swing trading (trying to capture larger moves/trends) and scalping (very quickly in/out capturing smaller moves).

    Shorting the Crypto market

Who dismissed the value of studying history? I've read plenty of history - including books that specifically deal with bubbles and manias. I never said bubbles are a thing of the past and that history won't repeat itself. I very much believe that plenty of the cryptocurrencies we have today...

    Shorting the Crypto market

The level of global central bank support/intervention in capital markets I believe are at unprecedented levels in modern history. Sure. I refer to Bitcoin specifically. There's no doubt that there's a lot (if not most) coins/projects that correctly deserves to be called sh*tcoins our outright...
