Russian economy > this is the end

Putin and the Kremlin is making life much harder for the common man and even the elite in Russia, but I suppose nobody dares to defy him.

Russian economy > this is the end

Video disappeared? Is there anyone in Russia who dares to question Putin?

Day & Night trading Derivatives Futures

I'll do some research and testing first of course. I'd like to pull up some charts and see what it looks like and how it integrates with what I'm already doing on ES. Do you trade with Interactive Brokers? I'm pretty sure my current broker (Ninjatrader) does not offer OMXS30, so need to find a...

Day & Night trading Derivatives Futures

That's great, @maxinger. I'm going to research OMXS30 moving forward then and see if it's something I can start trading in addition to ES. Cleaner trends (rare on ES) is arguably easier to trade.

Day & Night trading Derivatives Futures

Thank you. How's the liquidity/moves on the OMXS30? I just checked the chart and it looks fairly smooth, so I assume there's good volume. We have a futures contract on the index here in Oslo, too. OBX futures. But last I checked the liquidity is terrible and not many offer it for trading.

Day & Night trading Derivatives Futures

Greetings, maxinger, What’s your favourite index future in Europe? I already trade ES, but am considering expanding to another contract. Thank you.

    The Sky is Falling

That's no wonder after the markets went straight up for 12 years. Not a bid to be found so far today. This is weak as hell...

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

2 weeks in a row - each closing near the week low and both making a lower low compared to the prior week. A fairly rare pattern over the last 17 years. Each occurrence saw new lows in the week to come. My guess is more range bound action with pressure to the down side. A dip to 4300/4280 can...

What would you consider the minimum Account Balance to trade Commodity Futures?

In the real world you can turn it upside down. :)

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

I think there are plenty of smart people who shares that view and which have been wrong over the last few years. It seems like the FED's hands are finally tied down, though, so maybe this time it's different? There still seems to be plenty of money in the world and demand for stocks, so who...

What would you consider the minimum Account Balance to trade Commodity Futures?

The beautiful thing about trading the markets is that if you have an edge or some kind of consistency in your trading, you can actually trade a small account into a larger account if you're compounding your returns. Simple example: 1K account. 0.5K margin per MES. 3 points net per day. You...

What would you consider the minimum Account Balance to trade Commodity Futures?

Great point. I've blown a few accounts myself. Fortunately, they've been smaller sized ones. Having a large account is by no means a protection against losses or stupidity. The largest trader in Norway and one that did incredibly well many years in a row amassing huge wealth from his trading...

understanding the causes of chart patterns

Could you elaborate on that? After using candles strictly for years it's the other way around for me. If I plot a bar chart I might as well use a line chart as what I can see on a candle chart isn't as visible for me on a bar chart. I know many seems to endorse bar charts, though, and upon...

understanding the causes of chart patterns

The critics of TA or chart patterns will say that big players don't trade chart patterns or that chart patterns doesn't move the markets, but I think they have the wrong perspective. What I mean by that is that certain patterns explain how price moves. Not why. Now, the OP clearly wanted to...

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Took a few scalps here on the short side after this drop, but I'm feeling a bit late on the short side, so calling it a day and an early weekend. If we should tank into the close (unlikely?) - maybe I'll find the confidence to add a swing over the weekend. But probably not. Have a good weekend...

Could still drop here. I don't have a good read, so figured I might take something at least. Gap risk over the weekend goes both ways, i.e., a huge gap up or lower could both happen.
