    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Who taught you to draw lines and what are the rules? I assume we're talking about angled lines, i.e., trend lines. I agree that it's possible to use rules to make sure they're drawn the same way all the time. Victor Sperandeo had a rule to adress this. However, I'm not sure I'd agree with his...

Coming Aug 29th: Black Monday or Bounce Monday?

I'm lazy - hence why I have it coded up. :) Feel free to let us know if you do any interesting studies tomorrow.

Coming Aug 29th: Black Monday or Bounce Monday?

Is that manual work or do you have a script to check for that? For 2022, I have 11 Mondays with a negative net change following a Friday with a negative net change. This is ES, but I would assume SPX would be similar. But for my prior post, I was specifically looking at a relentless trend day...

Coming Aug 29th: Black Monday or Bounce Monday?

If we look at Friday only, a relentless trend day down - the following Monday is actually more bullish than bearish. I'll keep the actual numbers/details to myself. If we open below yesterday's close and can't find a bid, watch out, though. Some of those days were big down days. Best to stay...

Coming Aug 29th: Black Monday or Bounce Monday?

Everyone and their mother is expecting carnage next week. Makes you wonder... The last few times we saw a similar weekly structure, the market was moderately down (70 % of the time) or rallied back above the prior week range (30 % of the time). Simply put, if we can hold the current lows early...

August was an FBO. It looked promising for a while. 3 trading days left of August.

Be happy that you're alive to trade another day

Exactly. The same useless post on repeat. If you sold the high and bought the low today you'd be rich. Like that's not something a 5 year old would already know.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Damn. That was a relentless trend day down yesterday. I'm only now checking my charts and just checked the market briefly on my cell-phone yesterday. 148.00 points from top to bottom and only very shallow counter moves all < 20 points. I was planning to post this after my prior chart Thursday...

    Anyone using Notion for Journaling?

Not sure if you were intentionally funny, but you were. Funny.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Today's morning high was an FBO of the weekly high giving a pullback going into lunch hour, but never trading much below the Open and certainly not below yesterday's Close. So, no real weakness. When the market started trading back towards the HOD and the weekly HOD the expectation would be...

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Sloppy call as I was just opening my charts and saw the obvious. If I put my mind to it I would probably have realized we'd see it as soon as today. :) Looks like 4230 by tomorrow, then.

I have a hunch you're overtrading your account. Is this a cup & handle pattern? I feel silly just posting it, but I've heard about this pattern and couldn't help but notice. Nothing to do with the 04/05 prediction. Just coincidental. :)

The market's headed towards 4204/05 short term, IMO. Probably by tomorrow's Close.

Cup and handle pattern on the 60? I've no idea if that pattern have any validity, though. Eventually, I think we're headed lower, but it may be a bumpy ride...

    Mentorship

Disagree. IMO, (short term) trading is a very marginal business meaning that you essentially need to perform at a very high level in order to be successful, i.e., mastery. And this takes time and experience. What you suggested was to let someone see you trade successfully. Fine. I don't...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

You're most likely a small fish in a big pond. No offense. I don't think your concerns are legitimate, but I may be wrong?

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Update. Yesterday (Tuesday) and today marked out an FBO of that supply zone just north of 4300. It wouldn't be odd if we traded a bit lower from here by week end, but it's hard (for me) to judge if we'll just see some ranging before moving even higher or if we can actually see a major move...
