3883 being the final hurdle on ES. Once that clears...

NQ leading. ES still resisting. 3900 looks solid by the Close, but it's far from certain...Should be interesting to see the action once (if) 3885 gets cleared. I wonder if there's more upside potential today than that. If this market really finds a bid and someone wants to front-run tomorrows...

Will add on a break of 3885 (if we get it) and swing for the fences today.

ES new LOD => Instant 14,50 point rally. Not easy for new/late shorts. I'm long here. Let's see if this one sticks. Still targeting 3900. Maybe 3920 if we pick up momentum. But first need to clear this bloody 72 level.

NQ saying, "Let's go!". ES saying, "Not so sure about that." Could be a great buy down here.

I will buy the next pop above 74, but will give it a tight leash.

Not my kind of market. Or maybe my stops are simply too tight. NQ is showing a bit more strength and resisting. Choppy moves. Not so sure I want to participate on the short side, although that's where I'm leaning right now. Just going to watch for a while and see what's shaping up. If we can...

Yes, I would think so. But the path going there might be rocky. I got chopped up today being both long and short. Let's see if we can finish this green or not...

Looks like a test of last week's low, doesn't it? 3850. Might not get it easily though. Market's still finding a bid down here...

Won't be greedy on a long either. More than happy if I get 3900 as an initial target. Working the mid-point now. Could still head lower. Careful...

Sell stop below market with a tight stop, but primarily looking for a long now.

Damn. Don't feel too crazy about shorting this right now for some reason. Stopped out on a long on the Open and am now flat and watching. If we can get a PB I might take a low risk short entry if offered, but was primarily leaning long for today's Open, so I missed this drop. Certainly not...

Yeah. I was wondering if anyone would step forth and share if they actually had a position into that report. I wouldn't be surprised if the slippage was 10 points or way higher even. But I do think that report may have been an outlier. Possible the FOMC this Wednesday have the potential to be...

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Yes, although it may have sounded rhetorical. I was wondering how much slippage those with a stop just below market (longs) got on last Tuesdays CPI drop. That drop was brutal and with not much volume at all. So, I imagine anyone stopping out on market orders got considerable slippage. While...

Nice bear flag BO here. I shorted it, but trailed myself out too soon for a meager 5 points. Not holding going into the report.

Advice on how I should Raise Trading Capital?

Well, if you made no progress at all after 5 years or even 10 years, of course it wouldn't be the best life choice to continue. Let's say it takes the average person 10 years to become a good doctor/engineer/whatever. And that's with a clear path laid out for you with a clear curriculum to...

Not sure if that made any sense, but maybe it's my poor English. So far, nobody answered the very specific question on slippage. What I know for sure is that I won't be holding any positions into this Wednesday's FOMC.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Actually, I don’t. :) I usually don’t hold positions going into such a report, although I do think that the move last Tuesday was an outlier. Hence why I asked. I think the most slippage I ever got during RTH was 3 points on a fast drop, but that’s also unusual.

Anyone dare have a position into that FOMC statement even with a 30 point cushion? That CPI drop last week was humbling. I wonder how much slippage those with a stop below market got on that day?
