    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Reversed off the 28th's Close for today's LOD. Would be odd if we don't print 82 on this leg up. Not sure what else, though. Gap fill above and beyond would make today an Outside Day. Maybe a deeper pullback before that 82 pop. I think my estimate of today being a churner / consolidation...

Topstep: Funded Traders = 1 Step

Do you have any star traders who you're actually funding and who's pulling out serious money of the market? It would do you a world of good to tell us if there is. As it is, this get funded business comes across as a hamster wheel and not a serious proposition for actual "funding".

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

SPX/ES filled two gaps today, but created a new one today and left behind the one from the 28th of September. I'm not predicting anything for now, but keep in mind how bullish people were on the 12th of September the last time the market topped out. Of course, that was in September, so who the...

So... is this rally legit... or a bull trap?

The fact is that every rally so far this year have been sold. Eventually, one gets legs. People were really bullish on the 12th of September as well.

Beautiful move. Two 3 % biggies back to back. Not your average 2 day change for sure.

That's a big ass gap, boys. Keep in mind that open gap at 71. Main objective against fading this now. If we hit 71 and reverse off that, it could be good for a move down to 30, but this one's tricky, so I'm done playing for today. Easier moves tomorrow or later.

Speculation on S&P500 futures (analysis and trading signals)

There certainly is a degree of subjectivity to it, but I do have some rules which I adhere to, although I'll admit they are not written in stone. I think this can be both a weakness and a strength. If it was easily programmable - I think it would soon stop working. I guess there is both...

What can you tell me about Oustide Days

On the contrary, Inside Days with me are quite common. Much more common than they are on the S&P. Sad, really. But, since I know that Inside Days happen less than 10 % of the time in the S&P 500, my Inside Days are often profitable. LOL. :)

What can you tell me about Oustide Days

Good one. Outside Days are about as rare for me as Outside Days are on the S&P 500 (just below 10% of all days are Outside Days). :)

    Online or Handwritten Journals?

I used to journal extensively. Takes a lot of time. Time which I don't have. So, I stopped it. With time in short supply one have to be picky about where time is spent. What I always do is to annotate my charts at EOD and archive them in a weekly folder. I have one main chart and a few...

Keep going. Almost every post of yours give me a good chuckle. Not sure if it's intentional or not. :)

Well, the question then is why $DXY and the 10 year yield is down. I imagine those correlations are mostly observable after the fact. That's what I meant by asking if something fundamentally changed.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Very strong trend in effect here. We'll easily see 3770 before the RTH Open. Did something change fundamentally yesterday or is this just your regular bear market rally? I got lucky on today's lunch break. Was prepared to take some heat on a pullback, but this market just kept going. Had a...

That's how it's done, Flipper. Beats scalping. Be glad you didn't flip. :) Next up from here is last week's RTH High at 3750 which should be expected taken out by end of week anyway. Above that, there's a gap at 3771 if this get legs. Just like every single day each week ahead will fit a...

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Surprisingly high odds for a red candle come tomorrow according to the statistical model. I'm thinking maybe we'll fill that gap at 3730 one way or the other. If we open with a gap open in that area, maybe I'll be brave like @schizo and fade that... :)

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

I think it's to some degree psychological, i.e., scars from the past. Back in the day I would fade trends a lot and lose a lot. I've lost a lot of money shorting, too, so had to work with that as well, but now I'm shorting with ease. At least in this environment. But fading a strong trend...
