Back for a mid-range bounce. Mid-range in RTH also happens to be around @SunTrader's level. Still looks fairly bullish to me, but with the market being so much up one should of course be cautious.

Fading today's rally.... Trade it or Fade it?

If it's a bias, I imagine the odds are not 100 %. So, how strong is the bias? And what if you filter your dataset on the indices currently in a bear market. Is the bias still there? I can also use statistical data like this, but I'm wary of looking at this year through the lens of the last...

I will get smashed. :) Only a nuke will prevent 3720-30 today.

I will retract this comment as I was at work and didn't see clearly what's going on only looking through TradingView. Of course, we're still up quite a bit, so it feels a bit like chasing here, but there's still good upside potential for today, IMO. NQ and ES is well in sync today, so that...

If we take out the 3700 area - I will add and swing for the fences.

Have to be long here (3680). Targeting 3630. EDIT: Technically wrong at 70/72, but will probably B/E this and rather re-enter.

I only knew the entry was golden. The rest is out of my control, although 3650 looked like an easy target. Had plenty of 10-20 unrealized go back to B/E over the last few weeks, so I'm back to banking profits. But when you get an entry as golden as that from a bigger support zone and it looks...

Can you believe I was long from the Globex open @ 3597 and stopped out with a trailing stop for a lousy 10 points profit overnight playing it safe? One of these days I want to capture a real biggie with some size. Not sure when I'll get another opportunity as good and clean as this one again...

If you sell a bottom or buy a top and the market reverses on you - whose fault is it? Trading is a very serious game requiring the utmost skill, discipline and preparation to succeed. Playing this game is 100% voluntary and anyone playing it without knowing what’s going on or taking the...

No. I said we only had one so far this year... :) In the beginning of July.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Inside Weeks are rare. We only had 1 so far this year out of 41 weeks, i.e., 2,5 %. If those statistics means anything what we can infer from that is that there's a 97,5 % chance we'll either trade above 3725,25 or below 3502 by the end of next week. Or both, i.e., an Outside Week (we had 6 of...

I suppose so, yes. My point was merely that it's not the market that's doing the f''king. It's the players themselves who f''k themselves up by playing in the first place. The market is only a neutral facility which facilitates trading. Losing money in the market is a personal choice. :)...

    1NQ 50pt vs 10NQ 5pt which is more favorable?

What you're really asking is if scalping is better than intraday swing trading. The answer may not be easy, but let's give it a go. Assuming there's enough liquidity to move 10 NQ, nobody can argue that it's easier to capture 5 points than 50 points. The mathematical and practical question is...

Does it now...? Not sure I agree with that view or if it's one that's useful to have, although I know it's a common one. I would rather say that the market is a neutral facility. Any pain inflicted is done by the trader himself. Or what say you...? :)

Absolutely, right. You've been persistently calling a bottom ever since the last medium-term top. Maybe this one will be correct. :) If you go 7 bars to the left on that 2002 chart there appears to be a fairly large up day as well which sold off. Bear market rallies are known to be brutal. How...

Well, you did call for a bottom earlier this week… :) Specifically, what I meant is predicting today’s intraday action. From a 3% drop premarket and a rally back up to + 3%. I haven’t run the numbers, but I’m sure Thursday was an n < 5 type of day.
