The issue of backfill data being correct and real time data sometimes missing highs and lows is a real IB issue. I ran a campaign to get this fixed a while back and IB have also committed to fixing it. Briefly what happens is that IB send you timely data, one sample every 0.2 seconds. If...

Yes, at the moment, if you refresh with IB data then its got all the transaction counts set to 0 so the tick charts dont "work." IB have committed to fixing this so the IB refresh will have ticks some time soon.

You have to decide for yourself. Put a couple of mas on a chart (say 9 and 18) and then keep adjusting the timeframe until you find periods or tick numbers of volume bar numbers that look trendy. Then go out of sample and see if those values continue to show trends best.

Nice product Bernd, I'd agree that its "safer" clipboard use but it isn't completely save. A useful addition but the best thing is to keep keyloggers off your system (imo).
