There can be exceptional opportunities in the last two weeks of the year. As i stated elsewhere, i know v profitable traders who only trade in the last two weeks (no trading in the other 50 weeks ).

Disagree. The intraday signals are of inferior quality compare to daily or weekly. Also the cost compared to profit, as mentioned before, is a problem.

Btw, not right to benchmark some of these guys to the S&P500. Some of them trade all sorts of instruments, use leverage etc.

thanks for this. I've trialled gartman's letter this year, quite good in terms of ideas (e.g. gave me the brent/wti spread and also the idea of holding gold in yen). He has etns traded in canada i think.
