    Quad cards.... Appian?

Sanjuro I am actually running 4 G450 PCIs and 1 Matrox Marvel G450 eTV in my AGP slot. They are all dualheads. The AGP card can only connect basically one monitor and one TV. I do not have a TV with S-video port yet so I am not making use of that one head. Yes, I am running Win 2000. In...

    Quad cards.... Appian?

The Matrox website is poorly organized IMO. Keep looking you will find it. I bought my first G450 PCI from them back in April after it first came out. I am currently running 4 G450 PCIs in my system.

    Appian Hurricane vs Matrox G450/G550

Sanjuro I have two G450 PCIs in my computer and as far as I can determine you cannot set the second monitor to 1600x1200. You can only set it to 1600x600. In general though the G450 will let you set a refresh rate of 85 or less with any resolution you decide on.

    Adding RAM

DelawareDan Go to http://www.heise.de/ct/ftp/ctspd.shtml about half way down the first page and download ctspd.zip After you install it, open the program, disregard the first error that comes up, just type in the Make and Model number of your motherboard and it will do the rest...

    Adding RAM

If you have Win98SE go Start, Run, and type in msconfig and hit enter. Once it opens you will have 5 or 6 tabs. In one of those tabs there is an adjustment for min or max RAM. Put in 512 and I believe the box has to be checked that is next to it. I no longer have Win98SE. I currently use...

    Adding RAM

Grabbit You should have no problem. As long as it fits in the slot it should work. They are both 168 pin RAM. If you want to check into it further find out the make and model of your motherboard. Go the the manufacture's web site and look up the model number, and it will tell you what the...

JayS Fohat is correct. If its the same price definitely buy the 133. You may own a motherboard in the future that will take advantage of the extra speed.

    Adding RAM

Grabbit In my opinion you do not need ECC RAM for trading purposes, therefore you will not have to pay the higher prices either. ECC RAM is usually used in high priced servers that handle a lot of load and many networked computers. The fact that you buy non ECC RAM does not mean that your...

Dual Monitor Support in Windows 2000

roger2 I am actually running 5 monitors right now becuase the Matrox Marvel G450 etv AGP card only has one SVGA connector. The other output is for S-video. I do not have a TV with S-video so I am currently not using that connector. All my TV sets are very old sets, but even if I had a TV...

Dual Monitor Support in Windows 2000

coops Yes I am running Win2k right now with a Matrox Marvel G450 dualhead AGP card and 2 G450 dualhead PCI cards. I am planning on adding two more G450 dualhead PCI cards. The only limit that I know of is the number of PCI slots in your motherboard. I have an ASUS P3V4X. I know nothing...

Dual Monitor Support in Windows 2000

I guess the AGP card must be a little different than the PCI card. I know the PCI is about $40.00 cheaper. I think I paid $89.00 for the last one I bought. Thanks for the info.

I need a better paper trading site. Which ones do you use?

Thanks for the response. I guess I will use the IB simulator in order to learn their system, but I am going to have to find a website that has a free system that I can daytrade using real market data. There are so many subtle changes that go on in the market over time and I need to be on top of...

    Windows 2000 Upgrade

There is a debate as to which is faster NTFS or FAT32. Everyone that I have chatted with on forums says that NTFS is faster better, more stable, and more secure. However, sites that test diffrent computer components and software say that FAT 32 is in fact faster. They do not talk about...
