http://www.denvertradinggroup.com/ I've never been. Maybe I'll go, if ES invites me. :)

Any advice on Colorado? Careers, economy?

Yeah, that's probably true, but the irony is that the "native" population here would total 50 without the inflows of outsiders. See, most of us are imports, either from other states or countries. CO would have more animals than people without the "foreigners".

Any advice on Colorado? Careers, economy?

Take the C470 or US 36. It is congested just like anywhere else. If you want character try Boulder. As far as trading, I think you are on your own. There's really not much here. At least I haven't seen it, but that's not saying much. Geronimo Partners/Janus/Xcel occasionally look for...

Not to worry, I think most have moved in with me in Highlands Ranch. :(

    Programming for Traders

Absolutely, I've struggled with this topic myself. I'm a systems guy, give me the big picture then the details. I've found many trading books focus too much on specific details, without much of a context. Nothing is start of finish, this is how you do things, so I get stuck or get off on some...

    Programming for Traders

Arold, I think that's excatly what's needed. Too many books focus on trading OR technology. Very few books bridge the two. There's this one... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0071417729/ref=pd_sim_b_4/002-8590503-3416023?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=283155 But that's one of the few...

What kind of slot is this?

Wow, I can't believe that works. I'm on my 2nd ATI card in two years. Both gone bad. The 9800 Pro, fan broke, now this one, is two months old and it loses it's signal. I've had no luck with ATI's agp cards, but if it works, do it. Edit: Now I'm really starting to feel ripped off. How...

What kind of slot is this?

Oh, btw, AGP is on it's way out. I'm looking to dumping the system in the next few months for a Mobo with PCI-Express. It's getting harder and harder to find AGP cards.

What kind of slot is this?

Nope, you are stuck. You'll have to get a AGP card with 4 monitor skills.

What kind of slot is this?

I think we have the same slots. (Medium, Long) I have the ATI. I got it at Newegg, ~$170. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102677 "Interface AGP 4X/8X" BTW, from the Front of the card, it's Long, Medium,

What kind of slot is this?

I'm running AGP x8. I think the mode changes, I don't think the slot does.

What kind of slot is this?

Actually I thinks it's PCI-E, look at your second link. There's a topo picture of the bus. (Third picture down) SHORT, LONG, NUB. Where as the second picture, is LONG, Short, NUB. That's agp.

What kind of slot is this?

I'm having signal loss problems with my X1300 pro card, so my box is open right now, I'm pretty sure, that's not AGP. I have AGP, it doesn't look like that. From right to Left of the picture.... The nub, on the right, on mine is next to a short piece of bus, then the long piece...

    Google Finance

I like it's "intellisense" symbol look up. There's no page refresh either when you hit a new timeframe. Definitely AJAX tricks so it doesn't feel like a typical html page. Good start. However I am disappointed by the lack of data. Ie. you can't download anything. It's just images at this...

Actually nothing like that. Tired of crap equipment. I know, overkill, but at least it will work.

Thanks again, yep I have DSL, so I guess I'll have to keep my Zoom modem. I don't like it, but it should do. Though, that 1801 seems nice and since it comes with a firewall I could avoid the 500's.

    Routers

Oh, I forgot to ask, do the 501/506e connect straight to you ISP or do they require a modem/router to connect. I was looking at the Netgear 538, but it requires a modem. I'd rather have it all in a box.

Tom, Would the 871 be sufficient for SOHO/SMB use, or would you get something like the PIX 506e firewall as well. I've been looking at replacing my router/firewall "all-in-one". I don't know much about Cisco's products, the 871 seems like a all-in-one. I guess the question is, should I...
