If the data are worth a lot to you, you could try one of the (expensive) data recovery services.

Norton Ghost will make a all-inclusive backup image of your HD or partition (including all your personal files, O/S files, etc). This way, if you have HD problems, you can just install a new HD, put in the Ghost CDs you created of your HD and it should be like almost nothing ever happened...

Nitro, Many of the Linksys products act as a NAT and include a Stateful Packet Inspection Firewall built-in. What else is needed? BTW, I'm not being sarcastic. I really don't know the answer, but want to know so I can be as protected as possible.
