    one thing GE has going for it though is they lend against hard assets, i.e. they can repossess your washing machine or whatever. Also the lending division is only part of GE, as opposed to banks.

    I'm not sure they do get GE stock in their 401k. I thought the official policy for a lot of the on-air staff was no stock ownership of any stock at all allowed. Exceptions for Fast Money crew and Cramer and some others.
