Unfortunately, this is where we get into the difference between a forum and a real-time feature like the chat. File uploads are just way beyond the scope of the current chat environment. What I could do is create a Media Gallery that would allow you to create your own album of images and just...
If I held every person to the letter of the TOS terms, there would be about 2 people left, me and Magna. Correction, there would be one person left. Magna. I've been known to fly off the handle every so often.
In theory I like the idea. From a practical standpoint, where I see this going south is when you have two people who never agree with each other, let's say destriero and surf for example. Now what you end up with are two people disliking every post that other person makes. So now it's off to the...
The FBI guys is clueless. It's almost like he's saying, "Well we're at war so just let us get into this guy's phone because um.... we're at war at we need that info. Who cares about consumer privacy and future ramifications. Just get us into this iPhone no matter what and we'll deal with the...
By disabling javascript, Flash, and cookies, it sounds like you've disabled about 95% of the interactive functionality on modern websites.
It seems like that limited ability would end up driving the average person crazy after a while.
I know most of the sockpuppets you speak of, and so do many other members. I let the sockpuppets ramble on only because they've been called out and exposed already by other members.
Yes. The main difference is that the old concept of private messaging was strictly a one-to-one method of communication, whereas a private thread enables you to communicate privately with a group of people that you preselect. And if you trust them completely, you can even allow them to invite...
Yeah, but you should also consider that the 27" iMac and 27" external monitor you desire both have glossy screens as well. You can dramatically minimize the impact of the glossy screen by orienting yourself in the room so that you don't have windows or a major light source coming from behind you.
I'd recommend a macbook pro driving two 27" external monitors. That way, your setup isn't tied to the desktop. It will give you the freedom of unplugging the macbook pro and taking it wherever you want. And when you get back to your modern home on the water, you just plug the big monitors back...
Ok, I added another room called the "The War Room" strictly for trading-only discussion. The default room is the same one as always. You can access the the war room and any other rooms that will be added in the future by clicking on the word "Rooms" at the upper right corner of the chat window.
I'm sure you would get a better viewing experience on the more expensive monitor if your computer was also high end and throwing some serious data streams down the pipeline with via those new connection types. But if your computer is a few years old, either of these monitors will be OK...
@nitro, it looks like the primary difference between the two is that the more expensive one has the latest high speed connectivity options like Thunderbolt 2 and USB 3.0.
