What would you like to see in Financial Reform?

So you think the government should be allowed to tell businesses who they can or cant do business with? Did it ever occur to you that this guy who was looking to get a savings account maybe was one of those people that defaulted on his mortgage because he bought in 2007 and decided to walk...

Masses expect inflation, masses are always wrong = deflation coming?

Its like a dam where the water is just building up behind it. Sooner or later, the dam will break, or spill over. The money will find its way into circulation one day. They are not just going to burn it.

Masses expect inflation, masses are always wrong = deflation coming?

no...the masses on HERE expect inflation. When I try to talk to "normal" masses of people about inflation, they all look at me like I am crazy. I am at the point where I am really careful not to discuss inflation with regular people. I always have to feel them out first to see if they have...

Venezuelans falling out of love with Chavez. Will they be allowed to vote him out?

Venezuelans are getting 12 cent per gallon gas. If they vote him out, their gas prices go up 2,500% I have to say that as much as I hate Obama, if i knew gas prices were going to go up 2,500% if he left office, I would actually vote for that joker next election. For the average...

General Director of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, Lou Ping said, "We are still going to buy your treasuries because we have nowhere else to put our money. The US is still the biggest economy and the best place to put our money, but we are really upset with you because you are...

Stop paying credit cards. Give yourself a bailout!!

Take 1 class at a university so you can say you went there. Now you solved your problem 95% of employers dont check your education. Heck, at least 50% of employers dont even check your past work experience(unless you go to work for a big corporation, but if its small, they dont usually check)

Is it a Boom or Inflation, Meltup

Looks like things are not so much different when priced in gold. You paid 1 1/2 oz of gold for a coat, and sports coats are about the same priced in gold. Heres a black kiton sports coat for $2,298 on ebay...

    Euro break up question

The rate would be 1:1 I'm sure. Then the free market would let the new currency go up or down. They would still have to pay back what they owe in euro though.

The Gold Frenzy: Why Investors Should Resist

Excellent point. I remember the housing boom and I didnt hear anyone calling that a bubble(except myself and people looked at me like I was either speaking chinese, or I was smoking peyote when I told them housing was a bubble.) Today I get those same looks when I say gold is going to $5k+...

Funny how some run from bubbles flying to gold

Supermarkets didnt exist 100 years ago. I'm sure food will still be for sale, we will just have more small business owners.(How about that! Walmart and food4less will lose market share to mom & pop) People who are addicted to internet/TV/driving their car will have a bit of adjustment, but...

Funny how some run from bubbles flying to gold

Its a good thing it only costs about 1/2 of 1% to insure your property in your home. 20 oz of gold(about $25k dollars) under the mattress can be insured for about $125 per year. You put 25k dollars in your bank, you pay about 3-4% per year in inflation(or more!) So basically it costs you...

The Gold Frenzy: Why Investors Should Resist

Even if you were the 1 guy that bought gold at $850 in 1980 and you sold at the absolute lowest price gold hit the very next year, you only lost about 50% of your investment. In reality, those people who bought in the first half of 1979 (when gold was trading under $300 per oz) most were still...

The Gold Frenzy: Why Investors Should Resist

Umm...so is the dollar. The only reason paper money has a store of value is because people say its a store of value. So what do I trust? Gold, which has been a store of value for 1000s of years, or paper money which has failed many times in many countries of the last few hundred years...

    Intelligent design not so intellignt.

Still plenty of them around. For some reason though the mainstream media doesnt seem to like to put their accomplishments out there. If its not an atheist finding another monkey claiming it to be a long lost human ancestor, then it doesnt make the news. Here are the Christian scientists...
