I applaud your utopian enthusiasm but human nature, driven by fear and greed, does not change that easily.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but most people who dick around in the crypto space are there to make a quick buck, and not merely send and receive (let alone launder) cryptos among themselves. So this whole thing about needing privacy and anonymity sounds pretty hollow to me.

Of course, they (eg. employees) care. Otherwise, they'll get fired. And they might even have to regurgitate portion of the loss they racked up for the firm. What I'm saying is that, as a trading company, you don't want to hire a bunch of neurotics. You're better off with those who function...
