Volatile. I captured a piece of that pop and 2 subsequent longs on the pullback. Flat and watching now. 3810/3825 appears to be the obvious move, but it's hard to say if we'll see a pullback to 3750 first. So I don't feel like entering a long right now as volatile as this is ATM.

I'm betting on a good swing higher from here, but can't rule out a pullback on the Open. So, either gap down and go (up) or a pullback before a good leg up.

Not really. What Al Brooks teaches is only a very small sub-set of the vast field known as technical analysis. Here, I define TA as any methodology which uses past prices to make trading decisions, whether that's through charts, statistics only, predictions and what have you.

Why is it not necessary? Regardless, the point was that if Al claims (only an example) that a specific set-up works 80 % of the time, you can't trust that as he does not seem to have actually computed the numbers. Well, I specifically said that this advice would relate to everyone else, too...
