As foretold. And traded. :) I also gave a heads up in the ES journal this morning about a particular statistical bias for the last trading day in June. Looks like that turned out well. :) Unless you're extremely quickly in and out of the market what doesn't work well on ES is trailing stops...

This market seems tired...not much guts left to the upside now. Expecting a close above 82 and hopeful of a pop above 90, but who knows at this rate...

Statistically, ES today is biased to close higher - net. Add to that - there's a statistical bias for a print above 90.50 by the Close. Closing below 80 would be a surprise, but nothing is ever certain in this game, so we can only place our bets and take what's offered.

If everyone is losing day trading ES - which is the market where everyone is winning? Surely most fail at day trading whether it's ES or some other market?

There have been prolonged periods in the past where ES was fairly bad for day trading, i.e., very narrow ranges. It's only over the last few weeks that we've seen a resemblance of this on ES. For the last few years it's been great for day trading with fairly large moves on a daily basis. NQ...

Are you saying that the summer doldrum effect is more pronounced in US indices than other time zones? ES have been much slower the last few days in the US session. NQ still seems to move decently.

Seems like the bots got the memo. :) Can we clear 4390 today? Will stop out below 77. Even if we should reverse from here - I will buy on a new dip. Preferrably, we grind up to 4290 and go all the way to 4300. All bets are off after a 4300 print, though. Way overextended here, IMO. :)

The last 5 trading days of June have all closed green and barely dipped below unchanged in RTH. So, scaling into a long here @ 76.50. Wrong below 65.

Not unlikely and I would certainly hope so - as volatility right now just ain't optimal for day trading. Then again - it's summer. July is a new month.

4300 sooner than later. Last few days of the month of June - historically very bullish.

Should move above 72,50 within the next few minutes. If not - maybe another leg down. I'm thinking 4280/85 by the Close, but I'm not very confident. Just mildly optimistic. :)

Stopped on the last one. With a narrow range on Friday we may see an Outside Day. Stalking a long again here, but may see 60/56 first.

Long from 68. Betting we won't see an Outside Day. Small stop.

Added one. But won't be too greedy today, I think. NQ headed towards the moon.

Reversing long around 70/74 if support.

Worth trying a small short here @ 77.50. Wrong above 80.
