    I have open gaps @ 3407 3349,25 on ES.

I was in any case genuinely curious if you or anyone had the statistics on ETH gap fills. I've noticed they mostly seem to fill too, but always nice to know the actual number. I have this data on RTH and I know it's not like how many may think.

Trailing stop @ 78. If stopped - will probably re-enter long in the same area or on a second test of 70.

Do you have statistics on that on ETH data? I seem to have seen quite a few unfilled lately. I ask since I only have statistics for RTH data.

    Long 71. Stop @ 64.

80,75 should be the LOD here if we are to trade above 3500 today. If not - probably going to do the full gap fill @73,50 and most likely a touch/drop below 72.

I think I'll take a jab at a light long here for a test of that 3500 level and see if we can get any traction above. Busy with other stuff this week, so just following the market casually.

Ah. Gotcha. I now recall the Biden phrase. LOL. I was just curious if it was something in particular. I don't mind the watercooler talk or even off-topic talk, but it would be nice if this thread could keep it civil when people are in disagreement. :)

I agree 100 % with that view. There needs to be a distinction between someone trading based on market knowledge and someone who doesn't. That's pretty much the difference between a newbie/amateur and a seasoned professional. Further more - even with market knowledge and a sound methodology, a...

To use @Buy1Sell2 lingo - I think it's key for the bull scenario to take out 3500 and start floor construction in that area. :) The bear got smoked last Monday, but I think he's still around. Seems more likely with continued range bound action for a while and not a strong persistent bull trend...

So, back on topic. Last week was a consolidation of sorts and we should either see an (attempted) reversal lower or continuation higher. Any takers? I checked my weekly model (which was incorrect last week) for similar 2-Week patterns (a strong up week followed by a weaker week) and it's not...

Actually, when I do make a call here I usually offer fairly accurate levels. On Thursday I said I was anticipating a strong counter rally on the Open, but that we might see an initial 10-20 point drop first. It turned out to be a 5,50 point drop below the Open. I then said I had 58-60 as the...

How can that be meaningless? If you're consistently right on the big picture you're rich.

The market definitely isn't random. But even still - it's not always easy to monetize that. Even if you have a profitable system or set-ups. I still struggle with things like entering too early (FOMO), risk management or even projecting my own views/wishes on the market. An optimal system...

You registered one year before me - so I'll hardly consider you more of a newbie than me. :) I created version 1.0 in 2012 and had a professional company design it, but quickly discovered shortcomings and there's been many changes throughout the years. I'm probably at version 1.8 now. I have no...

I agree with most of this. My view is that the market is not random (unpredictable), but just because it's not random doesn't mean it's easily predictable either or that any given person who's new to this business can start predicting high probability outcomes. I don't think visually glancing...

Research, logging the past week if not finished and preparing for the next week. By 2021 I hope to have more leisure time on weekends.
