There's an open gap from last Tuesday at 4001. I can see it happening today. First things first, though. Need to take care of Friday's Close at 3973,25. Stalling a bit here. Generally, we should expect Friday's HOD or LOD to be taken out by end of day, though. That's either 3991,75 or 3942,50...

I'm lucky so far. Traded 2 ticks from my stop. I'm still bullish here on the day, but might go all the way to the ETH low on this morning PB. Not going to hold through that. NQ appears to be leading higher. Need a good move above 3962 to feel safe.

Settled in a new range after that BO and now trying a BO of that one. Let's see where the Open takes us. I have some confidence in a move to at least 72 and quite possibly 92 by the Close. Discard that call if we should see any sustained selling on the Open and an inability to hold Friday's...

Hard to say. The market found a bid down here for now, but stuck in a very narrow range here. Might have to wait for the RTH Open to pick up momentum. Went long again at 52. Initially, I'm looking for a move to ~ 3970, but we could see 4K again today for sure. No strong edge for me right now...

Stopped out for 4 points. Will watch for a re-entry ong the long side. Looks like NQ is weighing down on ES here.

Fairly tight stop on this. Will add a unit if we break out of this range with any momentum. Targeting a move to 4K initially.

I'll see if I can check it out later, but I'll just add that Larry Williams seems like a guy who knows a thing or two about the market. I read one of his books and it had some good and original content, IMO.

Last week was either a consolidation or a reversal on the daily. I don't hold a strong opinion. Not convinced we'll get a strong end of year rally like many here seem to believe, but could be enough juice here for another move above 4K.

If that was (always) true there wouldn't be any risk would there? Trading the financial markets is by definition risky. Many have learned that for the first time this year... :) Maybe, but keep in mind that seasonality is actually bearish in bear markets.

That's great. I've been interested in adding another instrument to my portfolio, so maybe crude oil will be the one.

@hilmy83 How's liquidity/fills on MCL compared to say micro index futures? It's been a while since I looked at CL. Back in the day it seemed to be the # 1 choice for day trading among most futures trader on ET.

Looks like another failure to breakout above 4K. Not sure if it was news related or not.

Get your facts straight, man. Rickshaw was long going into the CPI. Even posted a chart of it. He's been a long only guy far longer than you.
