    Best Display for Trading?

Can anyone post any reviews on 20 inch monitors with at least 1600x1200 res? I much prefer 2 of these over 3-19 inch monitors. Saves neck strain.

yes, there can be a big advantage - same way the institutions use the reserve book for redi/arca and inca. point is - you don't have to show your hand.

Was Andover bought out last week?

Magna, That's crap. I did not promote any firms. Never had. I was giving advice to fellow traders as to what a fair deal is. If you don't think its appropriate, then I will say to everyone, please don't PM me. These allegations are very upsetting. I thought the purpose of this...

Was Andover bought out last week?

I never pay for software or office costs. That's a scam. I'm a regular trader and I get these rates. I do volume though.

Was Andover bought out last week?

That is a base rate. 100% payout. Not a prop deal. But volume must be maintained. ECN's are a little higher than the posted rates. ie, they can be .005/share. If you want to know, you can PM me abc.

Was Andover bought out last week?

I get worried, as a trader, when ISLD or INCA goes down for 2 mins not to mention about switching clearing firms. I did that in the past and its not trivial. It causes a lot of disruptions to say the least. Positions are wrong and aren't fixed overnight because they have to be dtc'd. Robert...

What to do when you get a margin call?

Yes, I am referring to experienced traders. I was just commenting because someone make a blanket statement about margin calls. As long as you manage your assets properly, margin calls are not always negative. Also, I was referring to mostly day traders who go out flat every night so closing...

    Bright Desk Fees?

Most professions or schools like med or law have entrance exams because there are limited spots. In daytrading, anybody who wants in with money will be accepted. That's the difference! Everyone is in it to make a quick buck. Don't you think the failure rate at Harvard Law School would be...

    Bright Desk Fees?

I think you miss the point. As long as there's success for anyone, it can be considered viable. It has been written everywhere that 90% of the newbies will fail. What about people who want to be President of the US or other professions that have even a worse success rate? Are you telling...

What to do when you get a margin call?

To you and Lobster, A lot of successful traders get margin calls. You obviously have only been exposed to guys who have gotten blown out. Many traders maximize their leverage for daytrading purposes. You don't have to keep your entire networth in your trading account especially when its...

    Cost Matters...Ticket's VS Cent/sh

Unless you are trading >2000 shares (aprox) per position/order, then you are probably better off on the per share deal as opposed to the ticket deal.
