question about selling a Deep In-The-Money call

Yes, you will end up selling that call below parity and you will likely be assigned the following day and then bought in by T+2. Not a good idea unless it is a day trade.

    What's Market Makers' Advantage?

Now imagine you are the market maker in a thinly traded option. Once you put positions on you can never get out. Would you do any trades at the midpoint, which you consider fair value ?

    What's Market Makers' Advantage?

That would imply there is two side flow which is not typical. Yes, wider markets from fractions when option were single lists were the best. Penny markets would be fine if there were not 15 option exchanges.

IEX / IB - What does this mean?

If you are a shareholder of IBKR, you have to wonder if the IEX regulatory team will offer the same or higher requirements for listings. https://iextrading.com/docs/IEX%20Listing%20Guide.pdf If I were a share holder, I would not want to be the first. If you are a trader, and the primary...

But you were planning on hedging with puts. If you want to directional trade the S&P index, with no options, your choices are ES and SPY. You have to choose what fits you. I can only offer the choices. The is no e-mini/mini.

    What's Market Makers' Advantage?

You have to be a SEC registered broker dealer to get 60/40 with equities and a member of an exchange to make it all work . All futures are 1256 contracts, so 60/40. You can do this on the futures side with lower costs and regulatory issues. You just need a quoting engine. Actant Quote and Option...

Risk Management when Trading Options through Technical Analysis and Money Management Thread

100% per year is more than fantastic if you can keep it up. Not sure why you want to change anything. 1/3 of that would be awesome if it is scalable.

help finding a product i can train

I suggested you trade just the ES options without the Future. There is no SPY future, it is an ETF (Equity). The point is that if you just trade the option, your risk/P/L will be similar with a smaller margin requirement and you can reduce the per point risk with lower delta options, 500...

help finding a product i can train

Yes, this is better. It sound like your only solution with the goal to be long ES and be protected is to just buy a call vs long ES and long put as a hedge. This should require a lower dollar amount for margin. You can regulated your delta with what option you buy and avoid a lot of decay with...

help finding a product i can train

Can you please ask the question in a different way and be more specific. Are you looking for a Future with options where the contract size is smaller or an option on a future where the cost is lower to trade? Since Futures are intended to have a lot of leverage maybe you should look to an...

My 401k is becoming quite proftable through trading i am considering this

How old are you? In general, unless you need the money to eat, I would never cash in a 401K early. Just trade in the 401K.

You made 24%/Quarter? Fro more than one Quarter?" Was that consistent P/L or did you get one profit surge from one symbol? This seem very hard to replicate quarter over quarter.

TLRY borrow rate at IB is.......

OK, so now what. The market is closed. You can't short it tomorrow morning, you can only buy or do nothing. This is way too much a gamble for most traders. I would avoid it. the closing market was:

TLRY borrow rate at IB is.......

This is LS TRader L2. The "T" means threshold or Reg-Sho. You should have been able to sell long but not short. Must have been a system error thinking your were flat then trying to sell short.
