    Think about it, does selling NQ futures affect the price of QQQQ and the underlying stocks? Everything is arbitraged against each other. Thus everything (derivatives + underlying stocks) affects everything.

    I think it's always good to remember that markets tend to overshoot to the upside and to the downside. That makes picking tops and bottoms and fools game.

    I have been getting this error since a couple weeks. I thought it would go away with new updates of TWS but it persists. I submit around 50-60 equity orders (buy/sell) using the "transmit page" option in the "order" menu... and not all make it through to the exchange and stay "unsubmitted" after...

    Sorry austin, I couldn't resist :) IMO, the media has a completely different "feel" to it than 2000/2001. On the other side - as you said - there are always traders/investors that hope, essentially that's what helps a bear market unfold. I just don't see the media feeding any hope in the last...
