    Dow 16k by year end?

No, I think you misunderstood me. I think the bears still get the benefit of the doubt right now. IMO we're still in a solid down trend until proven otherwise. SPX breaking through 1400 would tip the scales to the bulls but that's still a good distance away. The point I was trying to make is...

    Dow 16k by year end?

If you're referring to me... then what do you mean with 'my view'? The fact that I think it's foolish to rule out a market direction as being impossible because one can't seem to subjectively rationalize supporting catalysts?

    Dow 16k by year end?

I keep reading this "there are no positive news so it's impossible for markets to rise before headlines don't become bullish" or "we had a 5 year bull market, we now it's completely logical to have a 2 year bear market" mumbo jumbo from you. The usual catalyst for rising markets is the fact...

I wonder how it feels to go from $500m to $60m. Must suck.

Maybe you're right, but who says we won't test 1400 before we test 1250?

Is this right time to short apple?

You could try to short it at the 50% retracement of the $200-$120 range which should be somewhere around $160. There should still be plenty of trapped longs in this stock. I'd be careful and use a tight stop though, then add more once your position shows some profit.

Market In Confirmed Rally Mode: Investors Business Daily

Not sure how IBD could have lost credibility in the 2000 crash as O'Neill uses a technical system that gets him and his readers in and out of the market. They look at distribution days, follow through accumulation days and market leadership. They only buy leading sectors and stocks that show...

Microsoft Manages To Make Visa Worse w/Service Pack 1 Release: Quite A Feat

The same point could be made about Win3.1 vs. Win95 vs. Win XP. Every newer MS OS is slower on the same hardware. This is no secret nor is it surprising. So does everyone hate Win XP and Win95 now? Should we all downgrade to Win3.1 because it's the fastest and the least 'bloated'?

Microsoft Manages To Make Visa Worse w/Service Pack 1 Release: Quite A Feat

Not sure if anyone noticed, but there are always the same "tens of thousands of users" that have a religious hate for the respective new Windows. It was the same with Windows XP. I remember people feverishly calling it "bloatware" and "slow". If you didn't agree you were labeled being on...
