That's what happened the last time we printed a similar weekly bar. And not just on Monday - but the rest of the week, too.

Not really as I'm not yet on my trading computer and haven't done a detailed look, but I would assume higher today. The key level to pay attention to would be last week's RTH Low, IMO. If it's an uber bullish week like last time we won't even test it.

That's because it's still a bull market. Shorting requires more skill and timing both on entries and exits.

There always seems to be a bid in this market. The above chart was not meant as a prediction - just a warning that a big red weekly bar doesn't necessarily trigger a sell or continuation lower. At least in recent history.

You're doing the error to think everyone thinks like you or are sane like you. There's plenty of self-loathing liberals who would think and mean otherwise. Insane.

When I trade at home, I often watch the sparrows in my garden. When I feed them bread, they take just a little piece at a time and fly away. They keep on flying back and forth, taking small bits of bread. They may have to make a hundred stabs at a piece of bread to get what a pigeon gets at one...

These programs certainly ain't a scam, but it's no doubt that the main business model is to generate income from failed traders. And honestly, I don't see the problem with that. They offer an opportunity. That's all. However, it's clear that many of these programs do more to make the trader...

I don't hold a strong opinion, but the last time a similar weekly bar printed next week was up.

Nobody knows, but it seems like the usual summer doldrum may be cancelled this year.

And a dump it was - with continuation after the cash close. Only 2 % down from ATHs or so, so nothing dramatic yet, but should give a good range to play for next week - whether we'll see expansion higher or lower. Plenty of great short opportunities lately.

Some days are more predictable than others. Of course, some will say it's not possible to predict at all. Today is one of those days that by definition should be unpredictable.

Quad witching today which could/should affect trading. I would guess a run above 85 or a dump into the Close.

The logical assumption would be to tabula rasa assuming everything you've been taught is wrong and start off with a clean slate and then go on to ask and answer (eventually) some basic questions. What is a market? Why does it exist? Who operates in it? Who benefits from it? Who are the losers...

Maybe you're overthinking it. Maybe not. I always reasoned that this simply was in reference to all the educators and so called experts who exploit gullible retail traders. Additionally, you have other market participants who benefit from the public being 'wrong'.

That was fast. Stopped out on my initial one unit entry, but managed to recover. Scaling into entries with minimum size initially have been beneficial for me lately. Now, time to see what the FED actually said. :)
