I already stopped out B/E on a long entry this morning. Re-entering on this pullback. I feel safe as long as we hold above, say 70. Could dip as much as 65 I reckon, but then I'll rather stop out and re-enter if that zone holds.

May I ask what you're seeing which suggests a retracement / danger zone here?

Nice breakout today. NQ filled gap from last August and ES a few points from the gap on the 1st of May this year. I was long pre-market, but stopped out B/E while celebrating Norway's Constitutional Day. Let's see if there's enough strength to close this above 80 and completely fill that gap...

No need to even use baby size for forward testing, IMO. I simply called it the rolling 50 % level as it will update as the range expands during the day. So, if you want to back-check it manually, you'd need an indicator which plots the 50 % level for the range at that point in time. Dotted...

Captured a small piece of it. Mostly long all day waiting for the pop that never came, so after that final failure to push higher I finally took the cue knowing very well that range expansion lower was likely. You get the feeling that it's only NDX that's holding up this market.

At this rate I'm starting to wonder if we'll indeed see the 2nd Inside Day in a row. This may be our only chance at seeing some movement today, but I'm not holding my breath.

ES completely stuck at fair value from last week, i.e., POC (4137,50) and mid-point (4140,50). Last week's close also at 4138. Could be a nice low risk short here with a stop at 41, but I'm not taking it. Still praying for a pop. Maybe we need some headlines or news to get this moving...

And another break above 4139. Let's see if this one gets legs. If not for NQ, ES would probably have been trading below 4K.

Two Inside Days in a row. Going back to 2005 (4414 trading days) - we've only had 19 occurrences of that. Will today be the 20th? I doubt it.

4139 holding fairly well on each thrust higher, but NQ is just ripping and just filled an open gap from last August. I don't see ES selling off with NQ this strong, so I'm thinking we eventually break higher.

So far, you're right, but it's a messy range. Need a good move above 4139 to clearly reverse to a long bias. I may be stubborn, but I'm still leaning long for the day.

My God - that 4150 level. Was there news / FED speak or is this just technical trading? Were were you when the market finally broke above 4150 will probably become a popular question in the future. :)
