    SPX options

I guess I could and keep placing orders close and closer to NBBO and see when it doesn't get rejected.

    SPX options

SPX OPTIONS Does anyone know if you are placing a limit order to open or close a fast moving SPX option, how far away from current bid and ask you can be away from and not have the order rejected? I have received messages limit order too aggressive. If the bid is 27 and offer 30 and I want...

    Futures verses Options

Used the plural because I'm buying more than 1 contract, not combinations.

    Futures verses Options

When buying SPX options it doesn't make sense for me to swing trade ITM options. Usually holding for only a few days. If the market gaps up the OTM options are almost always bigger % gainers.

    Futures verses Options

Agree . Should have specified more. When I trade Options they are OTM and I'm looking for a decent size move hence the better risk verses reward ratio. Only buy calls or puts, nothing fancy.

    Futures verses Options

I trade Index futures ES/RTY/YM and SPX options. Seems like Risk verses reward is much better with options but win rate is lower. Never hold futures overnight. Thoughts?

i'm going to ask some noob questions and you're not going to make fun of me

Would think further OTM will have a lower win rate ,but when the big move does happen will be a much larger % gain.

    Winning days streak

Very true. Also in a trending market trying to keep the win rate high will make you close out winners early, fearing they will turn into a loss. When markets aren't strongly trending the close the position quickly.

Here is my latest article on placing a stop. Hope it helps.

Couldn't agree more!! Generally if you have a viable strategy as you make you stops wider your win rate goes up. Key here is viable strategy.

    Big Players "Treading Lightly"?

YM is very thin also,I thinks that's why it takes such big jumps quickly compared to before.

How do you feel when the market is closed - such as on weekends ?

I welcome the weekend, definitely refreshing. Am very careful with Monday AM to make sure I have analyzed the mkt sufficiently. Because of being rusty from the weekend Monday AM's used to be my worst trading of the week. Now I make sure Sunday night I have a plan in place.

    What's a worthwhile daily take on the e-mini S&P 500?

Agree .Also I would assume he is using a hard stop and even so there would be occasional slippage.Would also like to know how wide his stop is.If you do this long enough you can have an idea when the probabilitys for a big move are there, then I would wait for the real move after I'm in.Since all...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Last couple of days I noticed YM jumping in 5-10 point increments in a second or so. iT used to only do that near the open and close.

Day trading SPX index options. 100% daily ROI possible?

It is possible to make 100% or more on SPX. The other side of it is when I buy options the premium is my stop. So my $300 position can go up 100% or more but my stop is also $300. Much different than a stock purchase where someone lays out $40,000 and makes 100% or more, and their stop is $1200.

So retailers just stop paying rent ...yep billions in profits but can't afford 1 months rent

Poor choice of words, meant restaurants that offer Takeout only.

So retailers just stop paying rent ...yep billions in profits but can't afford 1 months rent

Hopefully not as long as that.I think the restaurants with dining rooms are doomed. The takeout places that lease small spaces probably are not getting hit.
