Is there a tool for comparing P/L for stock vs option on a single chart?

Black Scholes calculation on the spreadsheet is within $4 of TOS real time data when I include fees. :)

Any one use Timing Solution software?

Interesting...cycles are everything not just in stocks but in life. Much better methods imo for trading than the typical support resistance bs that 99% of traders blindly follow... I especially like the Astro planetary cycles. :) Unfortunately the same old question when it comes to any trading...

Is there a tool for comparing P/L for stock vs option on a single chart?

I think I got it! (for a single leg) If price reaches 209 on Mar15 then the P/L would be $183.67 for a 210 call. Check the math on tos with a (63) IWM call that is 2 otm and premium is 7.22 The spreadsheet Black Scholes calc has it as 7.76 so rounded this is pretty good as price is in between...

CIS could have made the same money with one single swing trade.

    THIS STRATEGY, ???

Yes but you look at IWM how much of your gains would have been losses when price recently went from 202 to 193? If you bought 100 shares at the break of 200, on Friday you would have been up $200, but on Monday would have been down $-700 and no doubt stopped out before price made a full recovery...

Is there a tool for comparing P/L for stock vs option on a single chart?

I am experimenting with theoretical value displayed on the chart. This is showing the theoretical theta decay over the life of the option @ the current price. If the chart showed the whole thing it would eventually hit your max loss. So if by Mar15 (63) price hasn't moved you would have lost...

Is there a tool for comparing P/L for stock vs option on a single chart?

Well if you just want the track @ expiry then you've already got the spreadsheet .You just need to import the prices ie through barchart...as the prices update so will your current P/L which is what I wanted. If you want the theoretical price throughout the life of the contract, then you're...

Is there a tool for comparing P/L for stock vs option on a single chart?

Thanks! Yes...well I saw it done on yt and made my own version. It's better for just one strategy...would get complicated at least I don't want to put the time in. Yours looks like it would be better for multiple. Yes, use barchart excel addon.

Is there a tool for comparing P/L for stock vs option on a single chart?

You can create a risk profile chart like that just using Google sheets. I got one myself but I haven't made it for multiple stocks (options) but it does single stocks but only at expiry unless you're going to use actual live data.

If you use stop losses then you are essentially gambling

There is no zero unless you're trading single stocks. Also, if you're playing with stocks under $5 or whatever averaging down there is risk of a reverse split, which will undo everything you've tried to do by accumulating. Reverse splits are basically just a way to screw retail out of their...

I close trades based on ta when I believe the extended wave is exhausted and fibonaccis etc. same reason I buy. I'm either accumulating for distributing and I don't start distributing until I finish accumulating.
