You are correct. I use the IB Gateway to connect to the IB Server instead of TWS. It's lightweight and supports the same API functions as TWS.

That’s a great question. The short answer is: similar returns with the benchmark with lower beta and lower drawdowns. There are a bunch of ETFs selling puts in a similar fashion and their returns are in line with the indexes but less volatile...

AI is already here in one form or another, and it’s here to stay the same way that the classic computers came and never left the field. But in a such noisy and ever changing environment like securities pricing it will have a pretty hard time ( especially nailing predictions on longer time...

Just curious, what are you left with after you delete all indicators ? I agree that using indicators just by looking at charts without understanding their meaning can be dangerous but seriously why discard indicators if you believe in price action ? And even if you don’t believe in price...

Technical indicators are derivatives of price action (and sometimes volume) so they give you condensed information about the evolution of the price for the specified period. As someone mentioned in a prior post, the default values are just historical artifacts with no special predictive power...
