Look for stocks that have news after the close like earnings. Any website that lists upcoming earning reports and shows am or pm will help. Here is one from a friend of mine that is an X-market maker. https://marketchameleon.com/Reports/AfterHoursTrading...

    what should i do ?!

Who is your broker? You should ask them what they require. SPAN margin on what you describe should be less than $20K but they might want a buffer.

Brokers with low margin requirements on naked calls?

If you qualify for Portfolio Margin and the symbol is marginable, the requirement would be lower. Typical would be the loss from a 15% move for margin and more for risk. 25% is typical for risk but for highly concentrated portfolios, it will be more. We go up to 40%.

A supply and demand question for the economists.

Depends on the scope of the order flow vs what they can hedge with other options vs the underlying. Everyone has a risk manager or clearing house to say enough, and prices have to move.

    Rookie Questions on Covered Calls

I have no issues with knowledgeable traders doing buy-writes or selling puts in broad based indexes, country ETFs or sector ETFs, when the goal is to take advantage of the expectation that they are unlikely to drop and vol is high. My problem is with the single stock risk on a security that...

    Rookie Questions on Covered Calls

I’m going to respectfully disagree. I’d say covered calls have a lot of risk and very little reward. What is the point of being a stock picker if you’re always going to limit your gains. This is why I hate but-writes in general.

A supply and demand question for the economists.

I can't say that as I have no expectation of the future price movement.

A supply and demand question for the economists.

NVDA earning were May 9th. It is not uncommon for demand to decline without any events pending. Not to say that is right or wrong, just common.

A supply and demand question for the economists.

The question should be is the current IVOL higher or lower than the expected uncertainty or even the recent past? Looks like for now, IVOL is higher than nearterm movement but lower than the past.

Need desk for 6 monitors plus stand

Not that much weight. I have this with two draws on the left side. Not a wood desk, but hard wood would be over $2K.

    Rookie Questions on Covered Calls

Yes they can, but they need a reason to add the addition risk and margin with the equity vs the option. Typically, 2 reasons for early assignment are hard to borrow stocks and high dividends. It would be based on your expectation of where the stock will trade. Way to complicated to get answer...

How do you guys play multiple resistance?

IMO, when you get material news from earnings or the FDA, I can make a case for old resistance levels being on a different stock and they won' t apply. Just my opinion. Bob

Edge edge edge , what is it ?

It is any process or data set that you can use to statistically put the odds of a favorable outcome at better than 50/50 including all fixed and variable costs. Technically, edge does not factor in risk/reward. That would be a factored in as another tool or process.

Statistics: why the stock market is the easiest market to trade

Agreed that the tax advantage is great, but making money in general is better. And, all cash settled index and VIX symbols on the CBOE are 1256 too.
