Some people are incapable to trading what they see. They have to "think" a direction first and then look for only signs that are congruent. When what happens doesn't align with what they think, they start these kinds of threads :)

But his example doesn't say that his goal was to induce others to purchase, only that his orders are placed at such prices that other savvy traders naturally react, creating momentum. I think the point he was making was that his orders, while only moving a stock a few pennies, are so well...

Why would that be manipulation? If true, all he did was place a large mkt order to buy. Nothing wrong with that.

JUST TRADE. Why do you need to hear others' opinions as to what is happening? I've been trading for over 10 years with NO tv on. Who cares what people are saying. Just follow price.

Yes, it keeps my mind and reflexes sharp and it pays me very well. What's not to like?

It will never be possible for a study, any study, to possibly be able to test all that is considered TA to come to such a conclusion. TA is so vast, so diverse and, many times, very proprietary that any "garbage" study should be taken with a grain of salt.

Uh, yeah true but you can ONLY do this once you actually acquire the skills to earn money from the markets. For some, it never happens, for others it may take years.
