Help! These breakouts are killing me

I don't swing trade (although I am considering it as an alternative), I have one setup and it doesn't happen often so when it does I need to ride the trend until the cows come home. I guess that's position trading. I hear what you are saying, I will look into the options, have not traded them...

Help! These breakouts are killing me

Hey thanks for the advice. Yeah it was me who quoted Jesse (we're on a first name basis). As I said before I didn't take profit on a trade due to fundamentals, it was more a "what the fuck am I doing trading a longer term strategy when at any moment the stock market could melt down", which...

I am assuming you need a trend to make that many pips OK will read your thread, although I have a full time job so M5's are a pipe dream for me.

Help! These breakouts are killing me

Help! These breakouts are killing me

No sure, you are right. But then most people on this site, I assume, are day trading (e.g. your M5 chart), trading D1's and W1's is about as exciting as librarians. I have a lot to think about.

Help! These breakouts are killing me

Thanks for all the replies. Regarding news...I didn't even know Microsoft was reporting until you mentioned. Maybe I should factor that in and tighten stops in this situation. Then again, and this may be naive, I like to think the people responsible for this pattern may have known somehow...

Help! These breakouts are killing me

In my experience, the trend is up so I should just be holding my long position and looking for opportunities to add. If I was into interpreting what individual candles mean, then i guess that big doji could mean a correction or a sharp move up is imminent, but I am not. What do you think?
