The PDT rule is holding me back. And it makes no sense.

I can't validate it, but I was told about 4 years ago that the average IB account creates ~$3500/year in gross revenues. That is just under $300/month gross, not net.

Options on EUREX - looking for broker

It is a SEC regulation that I do not claim to understand. Before I posted this, I confirmed with Wedbush Futures that called the Eurex Trade desk to confirm. http://www.eurexchange.com/exchange-en/products/eurex-derivatives-us/eurex-options-in-the-us-for-eligible-customers

Options on EUREX - looking for broker

CME Futures and Options on Futures are easy unless you are a heavy option seller. EUREX Futures are easy, but US based FCMs are not allowed to offer Options on EUREX Futures. You need to be based outside the US and choose a foreign futures broker.

You are either over trading or your profit targets are too low.

The PDT rule is holding me back. And it makes no sense.

IMO the PDT rule does not protect anyone in the way the SEC intended. I think as your assets drop, you should still have the opportunity to trade and recycle buying power but at lower leverage. I would suggest to the SEC that all margin account get to trade but: >$25,000 up to 4X $10,000 -...

Realtick offer an API for use with the Linux OS. All the terminals are WIN OS. Lightspeed Trader has a MAC OS version but it will never be as up to date as the WIN version.

    Poll: Average Forex account size.

I went to the NY Trader Expo in 2012 for the first time. There were many FOREX brokers and some were big sponsors with large exhibits. The firm I worked for was looking for information to decide if we wanted to get into that business. Two FOREX companies provided us the same metrics. 90% of...
