    Automatized Order Generation

I recommend you take your order generation software and have it bring up an order ticket or generate a sample order ticket but execute the trade manually by examining current spreads and liquidity ti work the order. I'd rather have a time lag than a bad execution with options.

Brokerage capable of linking cash and inherited IRA accounts? (IB can't)

Good question. I have never been asked before. I will ask tomorrow. If we can, it would only offer access to US listed exchanges. Are European equities a must? Bob

Call option value, exercising or selling the option

Sorry, but you don't. To determine in an option should be exercised early, there needs to be more value in owning the equity than the options. I'm not going to go into all the scenarios but this is the most typical. The day before a x-dividend date, if an ITM call is trading with less premium...

Call option value, exercising or selling the option

What is the market in the put on the same strike in the same month? Does the stock pay a dividend, if so, when and how much? These are the questions you need to ask to determine if you exercise the call and then sell the stock or try and sell the call at a fair value above parity. What you...

Is anyone day trading with IB Portfolio margin account?

That is because it can change intraday. A few years ago at my old firm, we had a few IB accounts. Lightspeed has a fair number using LVX. Back then BABA was trading around 113 and intra day the requirement went from 15% to 2.5X that. My client's BP went from $65K to $600 in a few minutes. Every...

Credit score fanatics in the 800 Club" compete for top FICO scores

You can block your credit which requires releasing it before any credit check. I have a number of PM clients and futures clients that needed to do that to open an account. Both require a credit check. Those types of checks do not normally change your credit because there is no loan associated...

Credit score fanatics in the 800 Club" compete for top FICO scores

When moved in 2013, I applied for a home equity from 3 banks. My score dropped to 760 from the requests, The other item that lowers your score is a high balance on your Credit cards. I find it helps to send in money after the purchase to keep the outstanding balance low. I do that when every I...

How can I find stocks with larger bid ask spreads ?

Not that I'm aware of but for the most part small cap and mid cap stocks trade with lower volume and wider spreads. Same with Prefered stocks. No Market maker wants to make narrow market in those. Too much risk. Try NYSE American stocks as a start. https://www.nyse.com/markets/nyse-american

Selling Naked Puts on Up Days

I have a different mentality. As market maker I taught myself to ignore the trades after they were executed. I only cared about the net greeks of each symbol and how they related to my overall risk. Then, what I want my net position to look like. I did each trade because at the time of the...
