Where were you when SPX made all time highs? I hope you didn't short it. :)

Technically, I don't see why we can't make new ATHs today. It's only 35 points above the current HOD on SPX and well within 'normal' daily movement with a high print of 0.78 %. Just seeing it as a possibillity is all. :)

The picture seemed more clear on the SPX chart today.

Noisy chop, but we keep grinding higher inch by inch. I think Kamala wants 5650 on the September contract by the Close.

This is where a scalper takes profits. I'm just holding. The two styles are hard to reconcile.

If we push past this 25 level with some momentum eventually - 50 seems possible. I have zero confidence in the short side today as I'm sure there's a bid below each and every level here today. Buying dips with low expectations.

Personally, I figured we'd inch higher into FOMC. Maybe even rally. Doesn't seem like that will happen today, but I do like this last move off the lows. So far it's a range bound mess...

Fresh and hungry longs need to roll into the December contract now... :)

Boring lunch session. My guess is this pops above 40 by the Close, but may dip a bit lower first. Doesn't seem like a day where much will happen. Small sized long here around 18.

As of Friday's Close - SPX is 43.65 points from all time highs. Less than 1 %. I figure there's a good chance we put in the September lows already and the Kamala rally continues - barring any new headlines.

Yeah. Two wild weeks, actually. Next week should be interesting with the most anticipated FED announcement in a while on Wednesday.

That's my guess, too. Don't think we'll see new highs, though. Surprise me. :) Definitely. Not my type of action, though. :)

Agreed. Why 80, though? SPX 5660 looks more reasonable from my POV.

That would blow my mind. The momentum doesn't seem like it's there for such a move today. Probably next week, though.

Killed the trade here at 29 and locking my account. I may regret it, but it's possible we don't see much more action today.

Added a bit. Avg. is 21.50. Locking in 2 ticks at 22. Sell limit at 57. If I'm stopped now, THEN, I'm done. :) The sun is shining again here in Norway and it's hot! Probably for the last time in a while, so going to head out and leave this unmonitored.

That was a reaction of the prior week highs. Remains to be seen if we can push above one more time, but it's uncertain from here. I don't think we'll make new intraday lows today, though.

Stopped out. Going long again here on small size. Final bullet.
