Options order entry system - your preference?

In my experience, this is not better. I would rather have my spread order placed on a exchange COB so price discovery can begin at the time I enter my order and I have the opportunity to trade with other customers at other brokers.

Capital Market Labs options scanner/ Back tester

Capital Market Labs is more of a option strategy back tester than an option scanner for looking for trade opportunities if certain relationship happens. LVX has that but not the back testing. An example would be: I trade tech stocks. If I get long with a ATM vertical call spread two weeks...

IB TWS limit of 3 level II/Time and Sales

If TWS does not meet your needs, you can take a look at Silexx OEMS. Silexx is third party software that we offer that is also certified with IB. They have no hard limit on L2 windows. Market is not open so I did not fill each with symbols.

    how to NOT take responsibilty

If it is a business and the LLC does some trading, that is one thing. If the sole purpose of the LLC is to place the ultimate risk of loss on the account to the Broker and FCM, The FCM requires a personal guarantee. This is only for futures. This is very common among FCMs but less so with online...

    how to NOT take responsibilty

Every broker will go after you and your entity to recover losses. The question is that if you get sued, will you be personally responsible if the account is owned by the entity? That is the purpose of the Limited Liability company.

    how to NOT take responsibilty

Correct. An LLC would protect your assets outside the entity as long as you are not required to sign a personal guarantee. If your trading is in the US equity markets, this entity will subject you to professional market data fees. Some futures exchanges have an exemption for single member LLCs...

Trump considering indexing capital gains to adjust for inflation

So much for simplifying the tax codes. We have 3 capital gains rates now and indexing to adjust for inflation? I'm not for that. Let's just have one rate at 15% and be done with it.

Equity spreads filling at higher price then original order

Complex Order Books are only monitored by a small handful of market makers. Most traders can see the orders in the book. Who is your broker ?Are you sure your order was posted in a COB?

Equity spreads filling at higher price then original order

Where do you see fills on a spread with one price? Option spreads are printed as single prints, not the net.

Entering a fast rally at markets opening - stop limit orders being rejected

novicetrader69, On Lightspeed Trader, this would be an example of a hotkey close out a full short position or buy 500 to open of any stock in the focus window at the market when the price hits $0.50 above the previous close (You can also use bid, ask or 8 other metrics) . It will create a pop...

How do market makers borrow shares

Agreed. A retail account considers flat no position. I was trying to point out that flat for a equity MM, that yes are all HF, is market neutral in some form. They do not focus on one name.

How do market makers borrow shares

lipstone, When you as a customer short stock, it is your clearing brokers job to borrow the stock from where ever they need to in order to make good delivery in T+2. If an equity MM is also a clearing broker, their stock loan department takes care of it. If they are not self clearing, they have...

Entering a fast rally at markets opening - stop limit orders being rejected

You have to ask your broker. WIth us, all pre-market orders are live, so sending stop orders pre-market requires changing the order to not be live pre-market. Maybe your broker does not allow pre-market stops.
