When the FED announced continued QE and the yen spiked up, Japan's Finance Minister said that they were NOT going to intervene in the forex market for the moment (after the SNB got burned badly intervening against the Swiss Franc and took a lot of political/popular heat at home). Now the...

Don't beat yourself up, RA. After all there are only two kinds of people in this world: those who have done some crazy shit trading oil and those who have never traded oil. Today is another day.

Fewer steps? If you mean as opposed to normal entry in a platform where you select an instrument, then a type of order, then a price, then add bracket orders, etc., indeed, but I would say most people here (at least those trading futures) trade out of a DOM, BookTrader, call it what you want...

Then maybe you placed that stop while you were in a trade and it became part of your ATM, so when you closed the position, it got canceled and you didn't notice because it was outside your DOM's visible range (it's happened to me, but then again, I'm sure you're smarter :) , so maybe it's...

I answer here in case it helps other people. In your TWS menu: Configure>Order>Order Presets Then in the left panel, right click on "Preset>Futures" and add a Strategy or a Ticker (specifically for what you want, select Ticker). See the guide for the details...

Hahaha!!! I was like: "What iz krazy lady saying? Me timing very good" :D OK, sorry, I didn't realize I was posting time in European Central Time (Arizona + 9) and Kid didn't say anything :) The idea (for me) of adding to a position as it moves in your favor is to get free exposure, therefore...

I like your thinking better, Kid, but thanks :) Edit 20:32 Damn, I should have duplicated that same trade live in the last 10 minutes - fastest 1,500 USD in a looooong while :D

    CL Redux

Thanks Kid, I placed an order at 78.30 (Ask) to add my third unit/car. At the time was about 6-7 ticks above market, I was waiting for a small pullback. It did pullback to 78.28, but didn't get a fill and didn't want to add below .20. When I saw the TICK and ES start to turn upwards was...

Mr. Bochin, I'm not sure today is the best day to play breakouts. Unless we have some massive move out of the blue, of course :D Today may look easy to trade on a 60' chart: short-and-forget, but this is being some nasty meat grinder.

Yep. I think this leg down is simply bull's exhaustion and frustration with not breaking 1127, triggered by Nikkei's tanking overnight on more US QE and Japan's FinMin refusing to intervene in the FX markets (lest they get burned like the Swiss). I don't think much has changed with respect to...

    CL Redux

Other days my problem is being gun-shy (à la scared little girl :D ), but today I just don't see it. CL seems bouncy, but with the euro and the equities being hammered... This feels like wearing sunglasses in the fog Good luck everyone with the numbers

Hi Kid. It's not that I have a long bias, just that maybe I have an unconscious long bias and that's why I'm seeing buyers here. Surprise bullish report leaked? Edit: see? it's not breaking clearly  Your take, Sir?
