Stupidest Woman Alive: Pelosi: 500 Million Americans will lose their jobs

Well, everyone assumed Bush just misspoke the first 20 or 30 times he did it, but then it was apparent he really was that stupid. Have you lived under a rock for the last 8 years? http://www.slate.com/id/76886/

Stupidest Woman Alive: Pelosi: 500 Million Americans will lose their jobs

Man, your post is all over the map. It's sounds like you're being serious and then it sounds like you're being sarcastic. Which is it?

    inflation nightmare coming?

It's all deflationary right now. And you're watching too many Peter Schiff videos on YouTube. You wouldn't happen to be a gold bug, would you?

Crackdown on Wall Street: The Perp Walks Are Coming

Hey! When you guys quote someone, do you have to quote the ENTIRE article too? You can delete anything you want inside the quotes. I'm wearing out the scroll button on my mouse reading these threads.

I think you're totally missing the point of his post.

I fucking did it too! :D Thank god I was able to edit the post before the right wingers could post it all over the internet.

Stupidest Woman Alive: Pelosi: 500 Million Americans will lose their jobs

I don't care for Pelosi's pollitics, but I'm going to go way, way out on a limb here and say it took the press about half a second to put together the pieces and realize she misspoke and meant to say 500 thousand, unlike the half dozen or so posters on this thread. Nice work guys.

    Obama Declares US Wage Controls

It seems some overly exuberant capitalists are missing the point. If the company did not receive TARP funds, pay them. Once the company returns TARP funds, pay them. Not a bad idea if you ask me.

    Obama Declares US Wage Controls

That's a valid point if it's true. Where in the constitution did it say that?

Who do you think will be the first one caught, breaking the new compensation rules?

GS wants to give the money back. Funny how they made the announcement on the same day Obama announced possible executive compensation caps for ONLY those companies that took TARP funds and ONLY until they give those funds back. I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

    Obama Declares US Wage Controls

Let's compare apples to apples here. If the government gave the NFL $20 billion and guaranteed all its debt, than yes, controlling the top 5 salaries in the company isn't a bad idea. Building a stadium to generate tax income doesn't even apply to this argument. I have no idea what free FCC...

    Obama Declares US Wage Controls

John, if you want to call people idiots, at least check your spelling before you post. It's hard to take people seriously when they can't even spell "your" and "no body." At least you didn't call me a "looser." So the "world scene" laughs at Obama and didn't laugh at Bush? If you stick...

    Obama Declares US Wage Controls

Now, not only is the incentive on paying back taxpayers, the incentive is on paying back taxpayers as soon as possible. This is a bad thing? For the CEOs that didn't run their banks into the ground, and therefore are not on the taxpayer's payroll, their compensation package is voted on by...

    Obama Declares US Wage Controls

Congratulations. You are the first person on ET that I have called an idiot. Man, I hope you're joking.

Do You Think Trading is Gambling?

If I'm part of an inner circle with information that a player is shaving points or a ref is making bogus calls or 3 players are working together on a poker table, and I place my bets accordingly, how is it different than betting on the price movement of a stock or its derivatives with inside...

    Obama Declares US Wage Controls

A salary cap of 1/2 mil a year if, and only if, your company is financed by taxpayer money sounds unreasonable to you? AND if the company repays TARP funds these restrictions no longer apply. Yeah, totally unreasonable.

Do You Think Trading is Gambling?

I don't follow your logic. You can use the same analogy with gambling—buying referees, paying off players, collusion at the poker table, 'inside information' on injured horses or injured players.

    Japan Is Already In Depression

China = Super Well? I doubt it. Who is going to buy all their crappy exports? Japan = Stabilized? Things look bad for Japan. If their recession ends in 1 year, it will be because it has transformed into a full blown depression. Korea = Struggling? Who cares? US, Germany, England =...

Canadian money manager Sprott says 'U.S. is at beginning of an economic depression'

Damn bears. Can't be happy with a recession, it has to be a depression. If he keeps shorting bank stocks at these levels and if he keeps holding gold because he KNOWS it's going up, his 9.9% one-year return is going to evaporate pretty quick. I always have a can holstered, just in case.
