    Sterling Trader API Quick help!

I truly do not understand why you do not email or call Sterling support during trading hours to get help. I would email your questions then follow up with a call.

    How do pension funds trade

Pension Funds do not trade. They hired a board of directors. The directors look at their future needs as they have a responsibility to have funds to pay out over a long period of time. They set goals and determine what investments are acceptable. From that, they look for investments that fit...

Software to plot options against underlying over time

Are you looking to '"view" an estimate of future decay if the index were not to change overtime? How would you benefit from the visual? You can use the BS model with current assumptions to get option values for each day for that strike. Then put those values in a spreadsheet and you have your...

    Jigsaw Trading Platform

When you say "educational resource", what does that mean? Do you pay for a trading system that they teach you like a mentoring service or do they have tools that create buy and sell signals that they sell to you. What do you get?

How to trade Forex with margin in IB TWS?

I would say most people with $10mm, that did not make their money through trading/investments, choose hedge funds and managed accounts vs trading for themselves. Those that have always managed their own money, tend to continue.

    Complete Depth of Market?

L3 futures MD shows the orders at each level. So instead of seeing a bid for 26, you can see the breakdown of 5 orders that make up that size of 26. How does this knowledge help your decision making ? How does it help you make money? Seem like just noise to me. If you can find value, then it...

Maybe it would be more productive if you give me a quick call one day. There are 15 option exchanges. If the CBOE is 1.00 x 1.05 but the NBBO is 1.02 x1.03, and you route your order to buy 10 to CBOE at 1.03, either by IB's SMART route for by choosing CBOE, your order will be routed to one of...

IB does not hold single leg orders. I can't explain why you were charged. The order has to be re-routed because of best execution rules and they can't cross markets. You will have to check each exchange for linkage fees or ask IB for a schedule. I have one for my clients but I can't distribute that.

I want to be clear, as limit orders are not always adding. In time order, you order at your price needs to arrive at the exchange order book before the counterparty to your trade. In my example, your 1.02 bid must be first before the 1.02 offer. If you bid 1.03 as a limit order, you are...
