Trying to understand slippage: 1.6% with Interactive Brokers.

I try not to be blunt, but in this case, I think it will help you. IMO, don't trade illiquid stocks with wide spreads. If you decide you have to, don't use stop orders and manually enter and exit your positions and assume to enter and exit, there will be a cost. As much as I would like to blame...

Transfer MarginAccount from JointAccount to LivingTrust. Worth it?

On a side note, a Joint account will likely qualify as non-pro while a Trust does not. The cost of market data for the trust will be $1200 to $3000 a year more.

Trying to understand slippage: 1.6% with Interactive Brokers.

mickael28, EDGX and EDGA are not the same and have a different cost structure. I'm not sure if EDGA accepts STOP orders. I think EDGA has an inverse maker-taker fee structure. You get paid to take liquidity, but since they get less resting orders, you might get routed to another exchange and end...

Trying to understand slippage: 1.6% with Interactive Brokers.

Really hard to tell from last sales what the bid was. You are not entitled to last sales, only the best bid at the time your order was triggered without any trade throughs. We don't route STOP orders to a number of exchanges. We do not hold them on our servers or on our software. This is why we...

Ok. So your order was triggered at UK time 14:31:25, but was a stop limit. What was your limit and what was the best bid at 14:31:25?

Trying to understand slippage: 1.6% with Interactive Brokers.

None of this makes sense as you said your order was triggered at 09:31:25 and now you are saying the execution was 5 hours later.

Trying to understand slippage: 1.6% with Interactive Brokers.

We only send STOP orders to EDGX because they are server side.

at 09:31:25.192, what was the bid price and bid size of all ECNs and exchanges? What exchange was it sent to? What was the time of your execution? At that time, what was the bid price and bid size?

You should talk to Green Trading tax. You have to apply for it for 2019. They tell your broker. Then you get one 1099 based on MTM at end of year. You can't go back to 2018 if you did not elect this before. Your P/L from Gainskeeper will remove hash sales.
